slats
I am confident of my opinions too. Even though you discount them because they do not fit your preconceived bong hypered agendas I discount them because I don't see things the same way. That, and you're a jerk. whodeawhodat
wow, all this time Rex could have driven up to QBs' R US and gotten himself a good QB or maybe even great QB (if they weren't sold out) and now I find out that he actually wanted the sh*t we had QB. Man, I am so pissed at Rex now!

Hate to tell you this, but neither of us is going to have much of a say in that. keep thinking groovy thoughts though Yes, I think Rex is a good coach. Not great, but better than slobbering masses here give him credit for. I never said he was going to be retained, though. I've said all along that Idzik should judge the man fairly, that's all. And that if he opts to fire him, he'd better hire someone better. Which, IMHO, will be easier said than done.
MexiRoll6
This team looked horrible against a horrible Raiders team. If we played a good team they would of put up 100 points. Jets defensive backs don't want to tackle big backs. Did you see the way Cro and Milliner escorted the big guy down the field and the way the defense parted like the Red Sea? This guy is a fullback outrunning the Jets DB's who clearly didn't want to be trampled by him. This is Rex's defense we are talking about here for all you 'supporters'. Really, you Rex apologists don't EVER look at the big picture of what that moron has brought this team to. From 11-5 and a pace in the AFC title game to this....and you think he's good. Man. Man, I am so pissed at Rex now! Yes. This is the problem with Rex Ryan. He doesnt want to score TD's even though that's how you win. He loves watching his defense dominate games and his offense give them away. That's his exact philosophy. And even if QB's R US did exist and Rex found him a good QB, he's ruin them because of development and stuff.
joewillie78
i really have no idea what the would've done if Austin dropped in their laps. Probably they would've let the buffoon HC pick Richardson over him. Saying now they would've picked Ausitn is cheap empty grace. 100% agree. No slats, it is really down to you and Bitonti as far as seeing the good in Rex. And I believe it's more to pi$$ us all off than to really feel that way. I simply do not see how anyone can objectively look at the body of work produced by Rex Ryan and be satisfied unless you are Woody the turnip who I think has a homo agenda with Rex. I'd hate to see the Jets dominate the NFL. Mabye I should cheer harder on game days? Would that help?

Rex has done some very good things with this team. Unfortunately, those are slipping into the ancient history category in football years. In the what has he done for us lately column, he is in the midst of a 3rd straight year of a team limping down the stretch, unable to grow and transform itself. It is a consistency of getting worse through the years, rather than growing. For a HC, that is a critical indictment

Life must be so easy for you, never feeling the need to look beneath the surface of anything. I'm actually a little envious. Tannenbaum went all in on the roster for that 2010 run, and the roster has been paying the price since. The highest paid players on the team are Sanchez, David Harris, Nick Mangold, Antonio Cromartie, D'Brick, and Santonio Holmes. Revis counts $13M against this year's cap. When Tannenbaum was faced with signing Revis, Harris, Mangold, and Brick all at once -rather than making some smart/tough decisions- he opted to make all of them some of the richest players in the game. Love Mangold, but you don't need the highest paid center in the league. And a 3-4 ILB doesn't need to be making $13M/year, either. These are just a small sample of Tannenbaum's bad moves. In my opinion, the right guy was fired last year, and no coach would be getting much -if any- more out of this current roster.

Agree with you. However, making a change isnt necessarily the wrong move either. I could see Idzik thinking Rex's personality creates too much of a divide between the defense and the offense. At some point the Jets have to get their sh*t together on that side of the football.

I think that if Idzik proves to be good at his job, Rex and Mornhinweg can be very successful in theirs. If Idzik doesn't see things that way, then he should make the change. I just hope it's actually a change for the better.

Rex just needs to start holding more people accountable going forward. If Rex is retained...shake up some of the staff- like the offensive line coach, receiver coach. (I think Winters playing is on Idzik though)
