Obrien2Toon
Here's a few tidbits that I've found: - 21 of this year’s 32 first-round picks visited or privately worked out for the team that drafted them. One notable outlier was Seahawks tackle James Carpenter. “We tried staying under the radar with this guy,” Seattle G.M. John Schneider confirmed during Carpenter’s introductory press conference. “I told our group … we were very proud of them that his name never got out.” The Seahawks rated Carpenter as the No. 2 offensive lineman in the entire draft. List of last year's official visits (they really were hard-up looking at Safeties it seems. Moreso that I would have guessed.) Swearinger instead of Geno would've been nice. Also interesting to me at least we took Richardson over Star, who they visited. I would've taken Star then. Shows what I know. fishing92070
This is the reason Mathews scares me. Could you imagine all the hell we will have to go through in camp if the Jets took him? Who would go through hell? Geno Smith sucks and he is not the answer. If anything you should be thrilled if the Jets took a QB.

fishing92070
Fishing, and Ozzie? I would not worry what Slater says. He sleeps in his Geno Smith jersey every night. We know Geno is not the answer and I am sure the GM knows too. He will draft a QB.

Yea, it's tough to get a handle on things around this time, but it certainly appears Idzik runs a very tight ship, something he learned from Schneider no doubt. That piece about Schneider not letting anyone know they wanted Wagner was very interesting. The only things we've heard about the Jets in the last month are complete speculation based on the beat writers and the recent signings, which are official and reported to the league. I have a feeling we're not going to have any idea who we're targeting in free agency or the draft until they're signed, go in for a visit or we draft them. It's kind of nice actually. Fish, I love Slates, we disagree on just about everything, but the dude is always up for a good argument even though 99% of the time, he is wrong.
