Tennessee_Jet
Just said that Jets are now scrambling because they haven't got a call back from the Chiefs since last night. Geez. I hope Woody gets rid of Bradway!

I hope Woody gets rid of Bradway! Nothing to scramble about. Put Edwards in a do-nothing advisory position, and go about hiring a head coach. Woody-You eat 4 million, but you are a big boy and you can absorb that kind of hit for doing what is right. Nothing to scramble about.
Green DNA
They are both waiting to see who blinks first. The Jets are holding all of the cards however and are dealing from strength. Naturally, that means that Bradway will panic and get rooked. He will leave the table wearing only a barrel.
SouthernJet
Just fire him,,if chiefs then hire him , we get no draft picks, BUT we get 3 million back in coffers to spend on coach or free agent

Barton
Colin Cowherd says we get a 2 and a 5 or a 3 and a 4 Get that 2 and a 5 and run like hell.
joewilly
I guess our best choice right now is promoting dinger as opposed to the proven loser pool that has been recently flushed by other teams. though I don't see how he gets a pass & herm doesn't due to the injuries this year. His zone blocking schemes sucked imo & could get anyone not named mcnair killed as clearly shown. Who hancuffed bolly vs ravens? is that all herm? NorthCoastJetsFan
sd,, my point on savin money is if KC hires him with no comp if we fire him,,we dont have to pay then if he gets another job,,,thats standard in contracts Nope. All that would do is allow KC to get Herm for less money. The Jets would still have to pay the balance of the contract. Besides, KC can't hire someone who's already under contract. If I were the Jets, I'd be asking tampering questions after Vermeil and Peterson's behavior.

KC just cannot walk away from this cleanly. Their hands are dirtied on this, and teh evidence seems to be there. The interest of the NFL, like in teh Bellichick ordeal is to have this settled and not let the dirt come to the surface. That works in teh Jets interest and is why they should not be pushed or rushed into accepting compensation than is less than what is agreeable. joewilly
ya jw, agree on current sesspool of candidates,,, in retrospect, dingers system didnt match Pennys arm strenght,, maybe bradway blew that one,, did you just use agree & jw in the same sentence :? I'm not sayin dinger isn't a great football mind & yes we were handcuffed by injuries. Sometimes its better to keep it simple & do it well rather than dazzIe yourself into big trouble with complex schemes. Having said that, I guess promoting him at this point would be my 1st choice. this is not a great year to go after a hc especially with a late start. Sperm Edwards
ya jw, agree on current sesspool of candidates,,, in retrospect, dingers system didnt match Pennys arm strenght,, maybe bradway blew that one,, Three QB's, none of them with cannons attached to their shoulders (to say the least), and we bring in an OC whose playbook is most suited for a QB with a McNair/Favre/Culpepper arm. I sooooooooo do not want this pea-brain picking our next HC or any more of our players...or even negotiating the compensation for Herm.
Sperm Edwards
I think either: - it's just Bradway who's scrambling, not the whole organization or - Cannizaro is trying to do his best as someone with a public forum to sabotage a deal that sends his beloved Herm elsewhere (even if Herm still goes, we get less with a report of the Jets "scrambling" now, KC keeps more, and betters Herm's chances for Mark to give everyone an "I told you so")
JetsMan57
If the talks break down Herm obviously cannot come back to coach next year. So we hope another team wants him, or we make him sit out.
Bugg
Not surprising to see "Canizzaro" and "cold pizza" in same sentence.
