Texas in July is freaking hot, got to get seats in the shade.
chirorob
CF Mason Williams: 2-3, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 2 SB — 11-for-32 (.343) so far this season Double A or AAA? Does he have enough arm to play right?
Morrissey
Double A or AAA? Does he have enough arm to play right? -AA in Trenton -I would say no, he can go get it, but like many center fielders his arm isn't great.
Jetlife33
Double A or AAA? Does he have enough arm to play right? AA, and probably not. Once a very highly touted prospect, he's repeating AA because of injuries and struggles.
chirorob
-AA in Trenton -I would say no, he can go get it, but like many center fielders his arm isn't great. So what do the Yankees do with him? They will have 3 center fielder types with great range who don't have a RF arm.
Jetlife33
So what do the Yankees do with him? They will have 3 center fielder types with great range who don't have a RF arm. Well right now they're just hoping he can get through a full year at AA healthy while producing.
Jetlife33
Injury Updates: Ivan Nova (elbow) and Chris Capuano (quad) are both facing hitters in live batting practice. Jose Pirela (concussion) will play in his first minor league rehab game today. Brett Gardner (wrist) missed a few games with a bone bruise but has since returned to the lineup. Carlos Beltran (illness) is day-to-day. Ian Clarkin (elbow) has been shut down for a few weeks with inflammation.

Morrissey
By the way, the defense we expected before the season showed up in Tampa, especially Drew and Headley. Headley is just great at 3B.

Jetlife33
In a stretch of 13 consecutive games without an off day, the Yankees are considering a sixth starter to give their rotation an extra day of rest this turn. So far this season, scheduled off days have let Tanaka make each of his first three starts with five days of rest instead of four. By inserting a sixth starter, Tanaka could stay on that schedule for his fourth start as well.

Morrissey
Please don't trade him. Enough with this. Beltran is gone after next season we will need another OF Williams is a CF, his tools don't translate to RF. No power, average to below average arm. Aaron Judge is primed to take over for Beltran in RF. Other candidates who we could see before Judge in RF is Ramon Flores, Slade Heathcott (has a cannon for an arm) and Tyler Austin. All 3 are in AAA. Jake Cave is another guy in AA Trenton who I think is a better prospect than Williams, he too is CFer. He;s actually been starting over Williams in CF, with Williams playing most ly in LF.

Jetlife33
Be happy with a split in Detroit. Sign me up! Do not trust Eovaldi and Warren vs Detroit at all. Our only chance might be CC and Tanaka, but I really don't trust CC vs Detroit either. Detroit is due for a bad series though so let's hope. Jetlife33
GOOD MATCHUP: No Yankees hitter has more at-bats against Alfredo Simon than Mark Teixeira, and Teixeira is 6-for-14 with a home run against the Tigers’ starter. The current Yankees have collectively hit .297/.373/.453 against Simon. Yankees starter CC Sabathia’s had success against this current group of Tigers — they’ve hit .226/.286/.377 against him — but he’s had real trouble (no surprise) against Miguel Cabrera. In 29 at-bats, Cabrera’s hit .345/.417/.621 against Sabathia.
