so this means ridley, thompkins and stacy up

Yup. And Miles. Thompkins probably up as an injury precaution. Will be interesting to see who plays WR #3 with Smith active but untrustworthy.

As an aside, I think if Mangold comes through this week unscathed, Wesley Johnson is probably on the cutting block with Milliner due back.

Yes. The "back up" center who was on the practice squad before Mangold got hurt. Dozier could play C if need be as well. Third string DB is more important in the Bowles defense, especially with the banged up nature of the position, than a back up center.

Awesome, we have a starting QB with a special glove to keep his hand together, and a brain dead broken back-up QB; however, we decide to keep our only healthy option sidelined.

Where is that thread about personnel decisions?

Both practiced full this whole week. Who are you sitting to dress a 3rd string QB?

johnson is active today, dozier is not.   walls has been active, but not getting in the game.  keeping the best 53 is the most important.  the jets would still have 6 DB's

revis, cro, milliner, skrine, williams, mcdougle

they would still have a full third string.  the names just change.  it might be mcdougle instead of walls that gets waived, but they would still have 6 DB's, the same exact number they have now

Even though Tommy Bohanon has a huge role in our offensive game plan, I would say him for one.  Not sure if Stacy or Ridley could pull off filling in for all of those snaps though.

Walls is better than McDougle and is the ace on special teams. Keeping 7 corners with Skrine, McDougle, Milliner, and Cro all injury prone is a good idea. The Jets also employ 3 DBs on the majority of the plays so there isn't a real third string. It's more like starters and backups. You just aren't getting it. You should do some research on what Bowles likes in his players and what he needs active on a Sunday. It certainly isn't a third string center.

bummed they waived harrison.  maybe they see potential in dozier and winters.

Harrison will end up on practice squad.

So you sit a guy who is very important for a guy who won't even play? Good lord.

When Mangold went out of the game 2 weeks ago, Dozier took over. Wesley Johnson was on the practice squad. That would have made Johnson the 3rd stringer. He's second now. Maybe Dozier gets cut then.

all of this effort because walls has a nice backstory ?  did you go to ND ?
