He had already won more playoff games than even Namath. If the Jets were down but within striking distance, and they had the ball last, there was a better that 50% chance that Sanchez (with Holmes, Edwards and Cotchery as his receiving corps that he) would win the game for the Jets. I think it was a combo of the very first offensive play of 2011 when DeMarcus Ware blew by Wayne Hunter and destroyed Mark, replacing his most trusted receivers with dicks like Derrick Mason and Plaxico, Hunter again letting Ngata kill him in the Baltimore game (I think he was hurt there) but ultimately he wasn’t very good or who we hoped for.
