I don’t really care what revisionist history says. utter nonsense. Also using the words revis and quinnen in the same breath is ban worthy.

bealeb319
Still glad we didn't draft hockenson he averaged 30 yards per game and 1 touchdown every six games. Keep in mind his stats were heavily padded from his first game.Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using JetNation.com mobile app

His athleticism metrics established that from the start, and getting taken by Mike Maccagnan was the final nail in the coffin. Any "improvement" he makes will not be enough. He'll be a very good run stopper and not much else. He'll end up going down as yet another bust. And why would anyone be surprised about that? This is yet another pick by the same GM that was the 2nd worst drafter in the Salary Cap era behind Matt Millen. He’s worse than Millen. At least Millen eventually hit on one of his WR’s.....and in a big way.

Not saying we should have taken him, as you’d have to guarantee he ends up a top 5 TE to justify taking him in the top 10. But his rookie performance isn’t going to make or break him. And before someone calls me out for making an excuse for Hock but not Q, keep in mind that DTs can and do show up on the stat sheet early on if they’re good. Jetsfan80
Q was always a boom-or-bust draft pick. No, he wasn’t. He was never going to be a boom guy, because he’s limited athletically. Q is more athletic than Leo was coming out but that’s not saying much. Ed Oliver was the boom or bust pick to make, preferably after trading down. Oliver has the huge ceiling. Or, like you said, Josh Allen would have been just fine. As always we went with Door C and it was the clear wrong choice in that situation.
