Source: NFL Divisional Round Now In Jeopardy - Covid Outbreak

Recommended Posts

Hey folks, welcome to "How Pandemics End!" It used to be that we could do nothing about them, so we would just die for a while as the virus/disease ran it's course through the population and those left standing were 'immune' and those not were dead.  We're now in an age where with vaccines we can hedge against the whole "die or not" dichotomy and go into the "how will the pandemic mutate?" stage.  What we have done is gotten to Omicron where it is easier to survive, most people will get it, and we'll have the 'herd immunity' that a Million people had to die for us to get.  Now, if everyone had just stayed home for the first 6 months it would have died out.  If everyone had gotten vaxxed as soon as possible it would have died out.  But, we are a country of special snowflakes who all must have a say so we had to go through 2+ years of idiocy to get to this point where maybe, MAYBE, this thing will be gone by Summer.  Maybe.

Did you arrive to this planet 18 months ago?

Covid is more infectious than the Flu, thus it spreads a whole lot faster, thus that small percentage of people who need hospitalization becomes a huge number and puts a tremendous burden on our Healthcare systems. When the Healthcare system is broken then you'll see people dying of other ailments that are due to the shortage of Healthcare personnel trying to contend with the covid surge. It really is simple to understand if you have a grasp of mathematics. A small percentage of a huge vulnerable population is still too big for the Healthcare system to handle.

There's a severe shortage of Darwin award trophies due to the pandemic and all the accompanying manufacturing/distribution delays.
