Overall score….41-6

It’s a new day fellas.

Enjoy

AR8 will likely be here this year and next.  After that, the future is very uncertain.  And to celebrate the meaningless week 17 win last year (after we had lost like 15 in a row to them) seems kind of silly to me but have at it, I guess.

If Zach Wilson hadn't quit on the team and was the QB that last game, you would still be taking victory laps 😂

maybe it wasnt so meaningless. maybe beating them last year and breaking that streak gave them the confidence they needed to beat them again.

remember there was no Aaron Rodgers last year. we beat them with Trevor Sieman. the kids stood up, the CS stood up and won that game. i think that meant something to the players.

if we would have lost last year and won last night it would have been because we needed Rodgers to end the streak. but no, everybody BUT Aarron Rodgers ended that streak last year. just like the Eagles streak. these kids broke that streak. it wasnt broken because we needed some future HOF QB to do it.

i think that means something to these kids mentally.

You think last year's week 17 win had something to do with last night's win?  I hope you're joking

So your point is that after the next 31 games the future is very uncertain?

Is there a team we can’t say that about for one reason or another?

You think last years week 17 win has something to do with uncertainty of the 2026 season right now?
Seriously?

I don't see how you've tied these points together.

Fair, but teams with FQBs have a lot more certain future than teams that have a FQB that will be 42 and likely retiring.

What does having a 42 year old QB have to do with anyone having a FQB?  Rodgers being injured all of last season kept us from getting a young FQB how exactly?  Winning one less game would have earned the Jets a FQB how? By drafting a day 2 talent in the top 5 out of desperation?  That’s all that’s needed?
Other than Mahomes and the Chiefs I don’t see one team that should be a huge favorite to win over the Jets because their QB is young.

i think that losing streak with the Pats hanging over this franchise for a long time. and these kids who were here for 2 years and have to answer questions on it and such, to slay that dragon without Rodgers was a big deal to them.

these kids are all winners. all draft picks are. if fact i dont think kids get drafted from losing college teams.

if it was Jax i MIGHT agree with you/ but against a hated division rival who we play twice a year, and against maybe the greatest HC of all time. mentally i do think that help them.

I don't think last year's win had anything to do with our win on Thursday.  Like completely not at all, in any way.

I was responding to your comment about the "future is uncertain" applying to all teams.  Yes, it's true.  But a team like KC (Mahomes/Reid) or a team like SD (Herbert/Harbaugh) feel a lot more stable imo than a team with a QB who will be 42 in 2 years, plus a HC who is "leaky" (used in an overarching sense) as Saleh has been.

I said Mahomes.
There isn’t a team in SD.
Have no clue what a leaky HC is.  Do know it’s amazing how HCs with a QB led by QBs like ZW, with an OL decimated by injuries and a single WR anyone gives a damn about have trouble winning games.  Wonder how many games Reid or Harbaugh would have won the last 3 season as HC of the Jets, with Zach Wilson butchering the QB position?  All those losses attributed to coaching mistakes, would have been wins, right?

One who has an undisciplined team that comes out not ready to play.  That commits too many dumb penalties.  That messes up clock management.  Etc

How many games did Mike Tomlin and Kevin Stefanski win under similar conditions?

I'm done with this convo, btw.

Please name the QBs either had that had as hard a time playing the position, gave games away as Zach while sporting a roster as stripped down as the Jets?  What has Stefanski ever won?

What can you name, 3 losses over 3 seasons that you will attempt to blame on being unprepared?  Were the Chiefs outplayed or unprepared to play the Jets last season?  How about the Eagles?  Was it a great coaching job by Saleh or a bad coaching job by Reid.  You can’t have it both ways.
Funny thing is for the most part Salehs Jets don’t quit.  They play hard, they didn’t throw in the towel when Zach’s god awful play or injuries combined to derailed the last few seasons.  They fought until the end.
