What an insane, absurd, surreal time the last 6 years have been.

Two Top 3 Quarterbacks drafted and promptly bust out in a 6-year span. A coach is fired, the next coach hired - possibly the WORST candidate possible, who was FIRED 2 months earlier by his former team for a list of issues - has the GM that hired him fired and a new GM is brought in - who then fires THAT coach that campaigned for him. The next new coach comes in and fires the OC after year 1 for personality reasons while two relatively high draft picks essentially publicly say, "GET ME THE **** OUT OF HERE". The O-Line is a never-ending stream of problems and injuries. The team hires the worst OC in the league to bring in a 40-year-old QB as a desperation Hail Mary for relevance. He immediately - IMMEDIATELY - suffers a season ending injury. Bust QB #2 has to play the season and essentially quits on the team. 

The only coaching hires made over a 2-year span are of guys that were recently terminated by their last organization for performance issues - and they immediately have issues. The 40-year-old QB is catered to, but things still don't go well, so the Head Coach is FIRED after week 5's game while the other clearly struggling and failing assistants are ignored. 

6 Years: 4 coaches. 2 Top-3 QB Picks bust out. 2 GM's. 3 Bottom 2 OC's. 1 during season firing of the HC. 

 

THIS IS COMPLETE INSANITY.

Just sitting here today thinking about where this team is right now... if this was a sitcom or a tv adaptation of "Necessary Roughness" or something, the events would be thrown out by the writers as "too outlandishly stupid". Its like Michael Scott is running this organization.
