Word.

What was Hawaii paying him?

Granted, the fire was at it hottest. They have to replace Colt Brennan and doubt they see 12-0 anytime soon.

I know he was getting way under $1 mil. but Jones main problem was that the university wasn't looking to spend any $$ to upgrade the program at all. Apparently it was a real hard decision for him to leave but there was more than his salary involved here.

To leave hawaii-I think he is crazy NS!

in Hawaii recruiting sucks because of the timezones.

he stayed their 9 years, is losing his star QB and would be starting over from scratch in terms of talent

why not go to the bigger program?

and who wants to play football on a VOLCANO? one could explode and leave lava all over the place.
