The pitching continues to impress.Starters, bullpen both are giving us a chance to win pretty much every game.

Thanks Yankees. The Sox are 4 outs away from sweeping the Twins and getting within 2 games of 1st place.

Boston is cruising, too. It might be midnight for Cinderella from Tampa.

18-5 Red Sox after 8 innings. It was 7-5 Red Sox to start the bottom of the 7th.

Just one of those games.

Lets take a look forward to the weekend:

Orioles at Sox (Fri, Sat, Sun)

Yanks at Jays (Fri, Sat, Sun)

Rays at Indians (Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun)

Will be interesting to see what the standings look like on Sunday night.

Unfortunately the Yankee offense still stinks

Well if Hideki can avoid surgery and Damon comes back that helps out a lot. One interesting thing though -- Molina's arm is incredible. Posada shoulder injury or not is pretty much the DH right now for the most part.

Which means Jason at 1B and either Hideki or Damon won't be playing regularly. These are good problems to have especially with some of the ages of these veterans. Keep them fresh but keep them rested.

And Girardi is doing a great job with the pitchers. They are up there in innings pitched but not one pitcher in the top 15 I believe in appearances. That is a refreshing change.

nice job today. gotta keep playing good ball... cant get on the rollercoaster ride the mets have been on all season.

Just goes to show how quickly things can change in a week in MLB.

Yanks: Win 4 in a row

Sox: Win 3 in row

Rays: Lose 4 in a row

Yep... Sawx just need to play consistent and they will be fine. The Yankees really need an extended streak. The likelihood of the Sawx and the Rays struggling at the same time is small.
