slowmoe57
One of their best players during some crappy times in the 70s -- RIP

JoeWillie
An absolutely terrific player who's major problem was that his 14 year career came at the worst time in Giants history. Had Van Pelt played during the 80's when the Giants were good, he would have been a superstar and may have gotten some serious consideration for the HOF. I thought he was every bit as good as Carson, although very different players. Even still, it's amazing he and the rest of the LB'ers on that team got the notiriety they DID get while those 70's Giants were some of the worst in history. Tells you how good that unit was. Very sad. RIP, BVP.
jetophile
That's a shame. It's scary how you can walk around thinking you're fine and then drop like a stone. When we were kids his name always stood out because it always made me think of Linus Van Pelt from the Peanuts. Funny what you remember. RIP. Rawhead Rex
Damn, he was so young....how tragic. Seems like he was a great player....wish I could have watched him.
