Yes, but no. He was getting similar treatment to every other big man in the nation today... He plays down low, he's going to get banged around a little, every big man does. He's not used to the refs not being all over his jock and lost his composure.

ECURB
Joakim Noah. Scoring a ton of points in the ACC does not mean your good at basketball in general... it means your team set you up to score a lot of easy points... ::cough::JJRedick::cough::
InstantClassic
Noah has looked damn good lately... never watched him in college but he certainly looks like he would have crushed Hansbrough in the paint... Noah never projected to be an NBA player with his lack of size and lack of strength. TH is probably the same...but at least he has a low post game. As far as JJ Redick is concerned, which has nothing to do with this topic by the way, you are not the ACC's leading scorer by chance or by luck. He could, and still can shoot the ball lights out. He needs to work on his D to find himself on the court more often. How are those new Bulls doing? Haven't seen you tooting your own horn since they got demolished by 28 by the Magic. Still hoping to draw Orlando in round one? :rl:

KudosForND
Hansbrough isn't gifted like a lot of players he is a hard worker, plays like every game is his last. I like the intensity he brings. That being said he can be a decent guy off the bench, a fresh guy that can put up points and also can get foul calls on him. Fouls are a skill now in basketball

nyjunc
Because usually when someone dares up the courage to even breathe on him the whistle is blown. Please stop, the man gets hit harder and more often than any player in CBB, he goes to the line about half as much as he should. tyler gets all the calls and for all the bumping and grabbing he does..rarely gets called...he fouled the Va tech kid yesterday in last 15 sec and refs let go that said he was a great college playa...will be a terrible pro imo it's funny how everyone thinks he fouled on Friday(which was a call that could go either way) but no one had a problem w/ FSU sinking the winning FTs after one of their players slipped and wasn't touched then w/ Tyler getting hacked to free up the ball on the last turnover. No way though in the NBA is he gonna get all the touch fouls he is getting now at Carolina. If you lay a finger on #50, foul. TOUCH fouls? The man practically has to be criminally assualted to get to the line now. heck he got a concussion a few weeks ago on a play where they didn't call a foul. Hansbrough is one of the best college basketball players of all-time and he'll leave after hoisting the Championship trophy in Detroit next month. The UNC offense isn't give it to Tyler and clear out, he works w/in the offense.

nyjunc
Not true. Thabeet is the most important player on Uconn. I guess that is why UConn has struggled since Dyson went down? Thabeet is a very overrated player. P{lease explain how hansbrough sucks when he is a 4 time all=American, 4 time 1st team all-ACC, former Natioanl POY, former ACC POY, hit numerous GW shots, hiot the clutch shots to carry UNC past UL last year in the Elite 8, ... Oh and against FSU he had 22 pts and 11 boards w/ 5 steals.

His FRESHMAN year when Carolina lost it's top SEVEN players to graduation/NBA he led the Heels to a #3 seed. Most people didn't even think the heels would make the Tourney. he is an all-time GREAT College player, will he be great in the NBA? Probably not but that doesn't mean a thing when discussing him as a college player.

gangreenman
All great basketball players, are great basketball players. I disagree here... There have been plenty of great CBB players that were irrelevant or non-existent in the NBA over the years.. PLENTY. Off the top of my head: Gerry McNamarra JJ Redick Christian Laetner ...All three were GREAT in college and Laetner is the only one that maybe was avg. in the NBA. nyjunc
TH is this decades Danny Ferry a great college playa who will suk in NBA So what? I want him to do well in the NBA but I care alot more about what he has done in college and his has done everything and more for us Heel fans. He is a once in a genertaion type player that will always be aprpeciated by Heels fans. I disagree here... There have been plenty of great CBB players that were irrelevant or non-existent in the NBA over the years.. PLENTY. Off the top of my head: Gerry McNamarra JJ Redick Christian Laetner ...All three were GREAT in college and Laetner is the only one that maybe was avg. in the NBA. And thats just off the top of my head, without any research whatsoever. There's no need to research, great college players don't always make great pros. It's a fact, smae thing w/ great college football players don't always make great NFL players. In college basketball there are tons of great players, it's impossible for all to be great w/ all the great players currently in the NBA plus the International players. I just pulled up a random draft: 1990: Great college pl;ayers who weren't great in the NBA: Derrick Coleman Chris Jackson Dennis Scott Kendal Gill (So far these are all top 5 picks) Lionel Simmons Bo Kimble The list goes on and on. One thing has nothing to do w/ the other.
