JohnnyHector
From Rotoworld/St. Paul Pioneer Press: Ricky Rubio will remain in Spain to play for his DKV Joventut team for the remaining two years of his contract rather than try to move to the NBA this season, El Periodico reported today. The paper also says Rubio plans to withdraw his contract lawsuit against the team. This is a very fluid situation and information could change on a daily basis, but it really looks like Rubio may finish out his contract in Spain rather than play for the Wolves. JohnnyHector
From Rotoworld: Despite what was being reported by a Spanish newspaper on Thursday, Ricky Rubio has still not made up his mind about where he will play next season, according to Hoopsworld.com. Yesterday's report said Rubio was heading back to Spain for two years, but that now looks like speculation on the part of the media. The simple fact is that Rubio and his people are still trying to decide the best course of action to take. That could easily mean he returns to Spain for two years, it could mean that he plays this season for the Wolves, or it could mean he's traded to the Knicks or some other team. As usual, stay tuned. rillo
I blame the team more than Rubio, it was well known that he didn't want the play for the Wolves, and they drafted him anyway. Only smart thing they can do is trade him for a ransom.
