GreenBeans
Somewhat surprised...I figured a second tier announcing team. That Nantz and Simms are actually CBS's "A Team" is surprising... http://www.dailygazette.com/weblogs/schott/2009/aug/25/cbs-nfl-announcing-teams-set/ Parting Schotts CBS' NFL announcing teams set By Ken Schott Tuesday, August 25, 2009 CBS Sports has announced its NFL announcing pairings. Once again, Jim Nantz and Phil Simms are the lead team. They will call Super Bowl XLIV in February. CBS is beginning its 50th season of televising the NFL. Here are the announcing parings: Jim Nantz/Phil Simms Greg Gumbel/Dan Dierdorf Dick Enberg/Dan Fouts Kevin Harlan/Solomon Wilcots Ian Eagle/Rich Gannon Gus Johnson/Steve Tasker Don Criqui/Randy Cross Bill Macatee/Steve Beuerlein

b0ng
I enjoy the poetry of play-by-play done by Gus Johnson.
PS17
I enjoy the poetry of play-by-play done by Gus Johnson. I don't. Could you name a more biased announcer? It's so obvious after 5 minutes the team he is rooting for. Simms Nantz is the best, followed by Gumbel Deirdorf.

PS17
PS17 what are you talking about?? Gus Johnson, biased?? Extremely. Do you hear him during NCAA Tourney games? You know who he is pulling for within a short time of watching. NFL too.

Steveg
Ian Eagle is awful. Dan Dierdorf is worse. I think Dierdorf and Gumbel will be doing the Jets for the following 2 weeks. Not a big Ian Eagle fan myself..
Lupz27
I think Dierdorf and Gumbel will be doing the Jets for the following 2 weeks. Not a big Ian Eagle fan myself.. I would be shocked if Simms and Nantz did not do the Jets-Pats game cbs's first crack at televising a Tom Brady game since week 1 last year.
