So occasionally, I take a night off from the internet and plan my lessons for the week and have sex with my g/f. Again, no offense. And FYI...its the 2nd inning and I have no idea if the Sox are gonna win or lose (unlike JonE, I dont make dumbass predictions) I will be online tonight. so your basic M.O. is when the red sox lose, you masturbate, and when they win, you show up here to talk trash? I would go pull up the threads where I said countless times that I didnt think they'd repeat as champs, but whats the use? I thought their lack of bullpen arms and shoddy defense would be the root causes. Its just been 2 lackluster efforts in a row that have been the root cause. But, yes, the Red Sox are in fact, done with a capital D-O-N-E! The Chisox are looking pretty good. I gotta admit I was wrong about their makeup. They are apparently for real. They wont beat the Angels or Yankees, much less the Cardinals, with the team as is. My focus all year has been taking down the $210 million Evil Empire. Im thinking Chicago can actually do that. I make a post saying that Chicago has a good chance to beat Boston. JBF proceeds to say that Chicago would "get SMOKED by a much better team." Now you say that you've said all year that Boston wouldn't repeat because they're a totally flawed team, which is true. Chicago is beating up a team that you say didn't have much of a chance of repeating, so now they'll be able to knock out the mighty Yankees. Of course, you have to admit you're wrong and were completely irrational (as always). So, I assume you thought Anaheim was going to beat the Yankees? I mean, if you thought Boston wouldn't repeat but that they would beat Chicago, then Anaheim would be your only hope. That's not looking too good either, is it? Yanks win game one, and now they're up 1-0 in the second game, and they STILL get to come home with their two best pitchers going. Anaheim needed game one to have a chance. But the Chisox have played like absolute sh*t for at least a month and only a fool or partisan Yankee hack (no offense, Jetfanhack) would have been confident in picking them to beat anybody at the time. Contreras pitched very well yesterday but Buehrle's offspeed garbage was more than hittable thus far. The Sox have been flat as hell since the 4-game Toronto series. Swinging at pitches 50 ft. out of the strike zone, pitchers getting behind hitters and throwing out of the stretch with guys on base...thats why the Sox are losing, oh and rally-killing baserunning by Fatass Millar too. Chicago won 5 straight games to end the year, including 3 straight against Cleveland on the road to knock out a desperate Cleveland team out of the playoffs. That shows me something. And Hermanson had a 2.04 ERA this year with a 1.1 WHIP. You can't even compare him to Timlin, who had a 2.24 ERA and a very mediocre 1.32 WHIP, which is a much more reliable of weighing pitchers' values. You know who else had a 1.32 WHIP? Tanyon Sturtze. Timlin's peripherals say that he's going to start allowing some runs soon. And Hermanson isn't even their closer.
