Jets1Fan
The New York Jets will be making big moves come draft day. Rex & Tannenbaum will trade up to select Eric Berry the hard-hitting and overall most athletic player in this year's draft. His combination of football skills, hard-hitting ability and ball-hawking nature are exactly what Rex Ryan is looking for in his "Centerfielder" of the defensive secondary. If you think we are going to war with Brodney Pool as our starting FS, think again. Rex will not hesitate putting a rookie in at FS because of his dynamic cornerback duo, Revis and now, Cromartie. Leon Washington will actually figure in a great deal on what our plans are for round 1 of the draft. If Leon does not sign his tender offer by April 15, he will become a free agent and whomever, picks him up, will be forced to trade to us their respective second round pick. Should this happen, the Jets will almost immediately use it to leverage themselves up into the #4 spot in a trade with the Washington Redskins. Depending on how the first three selections go, right now its widely-considered to be: Bradford, Suh, McCoy, Eric Berry should still be there at #4. If the Jets cannot trade up to get Berry, there is always the possibility of moving to the middle of the first round and select Mays or Earl Thomas, or possibly even wait until the second or third rounds to select one of: Chancellor, Allen, Wright, Jones. If we do not trade up for the next Ed Reed type free safety, then expect possibly an even more blockbuster deal when they trade for disgruntled Denver Bronco wideout, Brandon Marshall. Berry/Mays or Brandon Marshall on Draft Day = Jets Super Bowl Victory 2010!!!!!!

Greenseed4
The cost of moving up to the #4 spot may require more than our 1st round pick, and the possible 2nd we would hypothetically land for Leon. I'm guessing 2010 1st, 2011 1st, and a pair of 2's.
