Not easy to pitch in that Texas heat. Ball really carries in that ballpark. You begin to wonder if this will effect his upcoming contract, but if he is lights out in October, it won't.

I'll tell ya what else stinks...the Yanks starting pitching of late. CC is about the only one you can count on. You never know what you're going to get with AJ, Pettitte is a question mark for health reasons and age. Phil is up and down...Javy is in the pen. Moseley is...well, I don't know...can he be counted on down the stretch and now this kid, Nova they brought up. Too soon to tell and who knows how he would handle the playoffs if the Yanks get in. Rays, with their pitching staff I hate to admit have the advantage.

As apposed to playing second fiddle to Johan? Who he's not really good friends with, unlike CC

He'll go where the money is. Chances are, that will be the Yankees.

He's not playing second fiddle to Johan. If the Mets had won a WS with Johan already, then maybe he'd be playing second fiddle. Santana is someone who is learning to pitch with less velocity, something Lee mastered a few years ago. Santana's still really good but he's only just adjusting to life without a power fastball.

I hope Hernandez wins it just because the best overall pitcher should win it.

MVP can be theoretically be argued by the whole "what is value" thing. Cy Young is definitely supposed to be given to the best overall pitcher. No one is outpitching Hernandez in the AL this year. The scary thing is he can get still get better.
