Snachez's radio kept going out during the game

This is part of an article by Gary Myers in the News.

As Sanchez was waiting for the call from Schottenheimer on second down, he said the radio in his helmet had gone haywire, something the QB said he had to deal with all night. Why wasn't it fixed? It's happened in other games, Sanchez said, but never for that long. He kept pointing to his helmet as the 40-second play clock was working its way down.

"The problem was the headset kept going out multiple times during the game," Sanchez said. "I had to run over and get a couple of calls, piece together some calls in the headset that came in broken up. It's just one of those things that we were fighting through and I was proud of our guys for trying to piece it together."

At one point during the game, the Jets had to use a walkie-talkie. This time, at this crucial moment, Sanchez ran over toward the sidelines. Schottenheimer met him halfway on the field and gave him the call with about 18 seconds on the play clock. Sanchez hustled to the huddle and quickly called the play, the 40-second clock winding down toward zero. The Jets, in what would be their most important series of the year, rushed to the line. Sanchez didn't want to use the Jets' first timeout of the second half, knowing it would be valuable later on. Nick Mangold snapped the ball just before the play clock expired

Funny how during the most important game of the year, we have an issue with the headsets. Haven't heard anything about a problem over the course of the season. Does sound suspicious, but doesn't matter now. Next season hire a tech team to keep on the sideline to monitor this sh*t so its no longer an issue. Then if it can't be explained, we have a gripe.

Rex just addressed this, and said nothing was said to the officials, but also stated that wasn't the reason they lost.

I support Rex as our coach as much as the next guy.

But something has to be said when the coaches do not make the officials aware of such basic issues. Its unacceptable to not notify the officials that the radio's were malfunctioning.

Its almost like when things are not going our way the coaches lose their poise.

The JETS must let Sanchez call plays when the radio is not functioning.

He seems to do better when he calls plays anyways. Not to mention there being no need to scramble to the sideline to get plays in. And the plays he calls cannot be worse than Schotty's!

He aint Peyton Manning

I heard aliens intercepted the air waves.

Actually what happened was that 2 young boys died on a train track. They were then transported to a purgatory where they had to play a game for being able to keep their lives, or be damned to hell. In this game you rack up points by the most amount of havok and pain you can cause on other people. They chose the Jets as they are an easy target. One of the boys jammed our radio frequencies while the other held Brian Shottenheimers family at gun point and threatened if he didn't throw the game his family would perish.

Nothing we could've done. Gods are against us.

So which boy won?
