Hysterical routine. One of my favorites. Religion is man made. Important to remember that. Anything man gets involved in is going to be flawed or in this case BULLsh*t. LOL

That's why it's important to have a personal relationship with God. Appreciate you leaving it at this. So I shall do the same. If you would like to talk more and I will if you do, pm me. Need to leave this thread now to Ben the Faithful Raper.

Peace be with you.

Ha!

I never understood how otherwise rational people can talk to themselves thinking they're talking to some mystical being in the sky. The concept of some sort of supernatural diety is just as silly as believing in the Easter Bunny or the Tooth Fairy...same sh*t.

Good for Big Ben- he found love. Or his version of it. I wonder if they'll consumate their marriage in a filthy bathroom somewhere. Seems appropriate.

not really, since nobdoy can prove how the universe even started, not believeing takes faith as well. Either way you're putting your faith in something you can't see or touch and that nobody can prove

I agree we do not have all the answers. But just because we do not have all the answers does not mean we start believing in a fantasy.

Thousands of years ago the conventional wisdom was that the earth is flat. Infact the first guy to say it was not was sent to the gallows. Sun was worshipped because it was catalyst in growing food. But nobody could tell why bang on time every 24 hours it showed up. But because it did people were grateful and prayed to it trying to buttress it up so that it kept showing up again and again.

Today we have a lot more answers. And as life goes on we will have a better understanding of many questions we do not have an answer to.

It does not take any faith in seeing through it all. Just plain pure reasoning and logic.

how did something come from nothing? you have faith that science will one day prove it was unrelated to a supreme being... maybe you're right, but it's still faith. faith in no diety. I think many will agree that the man made construct of religion is largely nonsensical, but that's different then the question of how did we all get here. It's merely a an alternate theory

question, there's a growing number of scientists who believe in multiple universes that are exactly like this one, you may exist more then 1 time, is that fantasy?

The real question is what is it about our culture that scumbags think they can wrap themselves in religion and everyone will forget what a scumbag they are. It's the same reason Tebow's jersey is the number 1 selling in the NFL even though he sucks. Religion is tied to stupidity in this country.

As i said earlier. I agree we do not have all the answers. But just because we do not have all the answers does not mean start believe in the non existent.

As far as space is concerned we have so far landed only on the moon. In universal terms thats like going out to your own backyard. And till very recently we thought water only existed on Earth. Now we find thats not the case. As time goes on we will get more answers.

And for most religious and God believing people its not about the beginning but its about the end. The salvation and being saved stuff. Which is another fantasy gone wild.

While we're sharing, my personal view on religion is that a god-figure/creator exists, but that existence is incomprehensible to the human mind and, as such, inexpressible. The Bible is a work of fiction, and as based in truth as anything L. Ron Hubbard has ever produced.

There is no hard evidence of the resurrection. But it's documented by the Roman historian Josephus that Jesus was an historical figure who was put to death by the Roman governor Pontius Pilate. Josephus was a Roman citizen, but also Jewish. He got the Anti-Semitism ball rolling by writing Jesus was the bastard son of a Roman soldier, which suprisingly failed to endear him and his fellow Jews to early Christians.

Despite it's populaitry among closeted Hollywood actors, the stuff in Hubbard's"Dianetics" has no historical basis.

Mohammed was a real person too. It's entirely possible that both of them existed and were equally full of sh*t.

Or maybe, Tim Tebow is God.

One thing for sure. Both were highly charismatic people. To get 100 people to buy your BS is a big deal. But to get entire populaces to fall in line. Simply remarkable. And that's the only positive thing i can say about these men.

What happened to my thread?

Alas, it became a battleground between the religiously and the anti-religiously minded.

Anyway, I'm just wondering-if Roethlisberger really has turned over a new leaf, has he lifted a finger to try to make it up to the women he attacked?

Seems to me he would if he was genuine.

I’m not a Big Ben fan as a person. As a QB yes. As a person no.

IMO Big Ben is a dirt bag, but in all honesty I don’t see where he “attacked” her. Pressured her? Perhaps.

She followed him into the men’s room with no physical force. What did she think was going to happen there? She seems to have opened her mouth with no physical force.

Apparently the cops didn’t see it as an attack either.

I think Ben was very rude to her once he was done. She was humiliated, and made a scene. Low class by Ben? You bet. A Rape? No

But he’s fun to kick around anyhow

The girl was inebriated.

Physical force is implied when you're a drunk college girl cornered by a 6'5" 240 a$$hole athlete.

Her friends tried to rescue her, but Ben's posse blocked them from being able to.

It was an attack. A coordinated attack.

he had her locked in a filthy bathroom doing god knows what while his goons blocked the door from her concerned friends. Methinks that is conducive to rapey rape.

If she made any attempt to leave that hallway, and join her “rescuing’ friends in the bar, and was blocked, restrained, or denied exit in ANY matter, he would have been charged.

Instead of joining her friends she chose to join Ben in the bathroom. Drunk or not she knew what was going to happen in there. She has to have some personal responsibility for what happened.

Obviously the cops saw it the same way.

Here's here statement to the police:

"Ben asked us to go to his 'VIP' area (back of Capital). We all went with him. He said there were shots for us, numerous shots were on the bar, and he told us to take them. His bodyguard came and took my arm and said come with me, he escorted me into a side door/hallway, and sat me on a stool. He left and Ben came back with his penis out of his pants. I told him it wasn't OK, no, we don't need to do this and I proceeded to get up and try to leave. I went to the first door I saw, which happened to be a bathroom. He followed me into the bathroom and shut the door behind him. I still said no, this is not OK, and he then had sex with me. He said it was OK. He then left without saying anything."I went out of the hallway/door to the side where I saw my friends. We left Capital and went to the first police car we saw."

It's a case of he said/she said, and the prosecutor opted to side with the super-star millionaire athlete with the high-priced attorneys. Which, of course, is really super-duper shocking.
