JonEJet
Eek. And you like Brooks Reed? I've been hysterically screaming at bitonti about him for weeks. Without trades this draft sux....there will be alot of movement for those QB's late in the round.....alot of mocks have these QB's going anywhere (Mallett, Locker) from 10 to 25.....I just don't see it.....I think teams trade upfrom the 2nd roundfor guys like Mallet Ponder or Locker
JonEJet
My problem doing this mock is the fact I have no trades.....I think there will be alot of trades in the bottom third of this draft for QB's.....I just don't see Locker,Mallett or Ponder going from 10-20, but I do think there will be teams like Washington, Cincy and Buffalo trading back into the lastpartof the 1st round. I just think the players they draft early are too good to pass up to reach for one of these guys early

I just think the players they draft early are too good to pass up to reach for one of these guys early I agree, totally. It looks like after the Kerrigan/Aldon Smith/JJ Watt group go by 15 or 16, the rest of the round drops into a bunch of right tackles and iffy OLB's. The whacked-out QB group (Mallett, Ponder, Locker) could muck up the bottom of the first if a team gets desperate, but what team really wants to reach for one of those guys? Then again, Buffalo once traded up for JP Losman, so anything's possible.
JonEJet
I think 4 QB's will go in the 1st round If that happens the Jets will be in luck, and someone like Hayward should drop
bitonti
Eek. And you like Brooks Reed? I've been hysterically screaming at bitonti about him for weeks. if the board breaks the way JonE mocks (and by the way great job dude the only nitpick i have is that pouncey's going 10 slots higher at least) than it becomes a reach for the best DE/OLB conversion player (Reed, sheard), Reach for next best DL (Allen Bailey) or the next best cornerback situation. Aaron Williams goes 31 he could go 30. Brandon Harris or Ras-I Dowling would be in play in this situation as well. this is pretty much a worst case scenario for the Jets... what they want is for 4-5 QBs to go and someone really good drops. Aten
That is just a brutal spot. If it happens the Jets try to trade down and if they can't it's probably Taylor. Vomit.

Phil Taylor is the one name I don't want to hear. I can accept basically any other name and support it. Phil Taylor would just be a brutal pick. JonEJet
After looking at this mock for a day now, I'll definitely be making some changes......You know Jerry Jones wants to make a splash, and Bowers would fit that mold.......but Rob Ryan is surely a 3-4 guy.....so I'll change that Have been hearing Martez Wilson getting some 1st round love, so he may have to move up a bit I thin the top of the draft is what it is though

This is basically the worst-case scenario. They're all brutal picks here. Taylor's a fat sack of crap. Wilson's a pansy. Cobb's not even the best receiver on the board. Damaged89
at least we'll have some entertaining "bitonti vs everyone" arguments in the ***official Brooks Reed Mass Suicide Thread***. hopefully some dumb team gets all lustful all over Ponder or something and we can move back a few slots and pick up an extra pick or two. Sheard in the early second FTW?
