RSJ
http://theredzone.or...on/Default.aspx Bucs release free safety Tanard Jackson Apr 10 4/10/2012 10:07:35 AM Share on emailShare on printShare on twitterShare on facebookShare on myspaceShare on stumbleuponShare on digg|More Sharing ServicesMore The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released free safety Tanard Jackson on Tuesday morning due to a failed physical according to buccaneers.com. Jackson recently underwent shoulder surgery but was expected to be ready to return by June. Speculation is that Jackson was released due to his troubled history off the field as much as his injury. He was suspended for all of 2010 and the first five games of 2011 due to multiple violations of the NFL's substance abuse policy. Upon return in Week 6 last year, he struggled both in coverage and against the run. Still only 26, Jackson should have little trouble finding a new team but should expect an incentives-laden contract. Had some tackling issues last year. Very good Free Safety and still young. Edit: Also, as a side note. No way Bucs go offense in the first round. They need atleast one CB (if Talib stays out of prison two) both safeties and all LB's. Ryno the Jet
Decent prospect, just wonder if he can stay healthy without PEDs.
derp
Lots of off the field problems. Wouldn't mind it on a roll of the dice, but expectations should be low if they do it. I'd kind of be surprised if they did, but you never know.

BroadwayJoe12
The Jets should treat the safety position this year like throwing spaghetti against a wall; sign as much as ya can and hope one of them sticks.
CoachTsurfing
I'd say sign him also. I've been reading also, that cro has been angling a move to safety and then wilson going to starting cb. On another side note if for some reason the browns go qb and not trent and then the bucs go db we'd have a small chance and richardson.
Kevin L
Do we REALLY need another guy with apparent character issues on the roster?
BornJetsFan1983
Do we REALLY need another guy with apparent character issues on the roster? no, we need a S, character issues aside, we need to grab any S we can. I dont think we are going to get barron in the draft

SenorGato
Do we REALLY need another guy with apparent character issues on the roster? A less talented injured safety than the one we already have as well.... A flier is probably fine, but not really a player to be trusted even slightly.
