is today the day Revis is traded?

The offer is simple.  Jets will either accept it or reject it.  The contract is the hard part in this deal.  No team is going to part with a ton of picks if they can't sign Revis long term.  And who knows where Revis is at when it comes to wanting to sign something now vs after the season.

Have to think that Revis would be very interested in signing something now, even if the deal is slightly depressed because of his ACL, he can always hold out later for more. Whatever he's offered will put more money in his pocket than his current deal with the Jets. A lot more.

and you are the worst poster ever so it's fitting you follow all of my threads like a Justin Beebz fan

I'm good with being bad as a JN poster. I'm great at everything else in life.

You suck at both, clearly.

You would assume this, but who knows what's in Revis' head and his agents head.  If he thinks he's better than AP and can come back better, he probably goes out, has a monster year for whomever, and signs some huge contract then.

Look at Flacco.  He turned down an offer last summer or stopped negotiating and after the super bowl MVP,  he became a $20 million per year QB.

It really depends on the player, their ego, and how healthy they think they are.  If Revis doubts he's at full strength, then yeah he'd jump at a new contract.  If he thinks he's 100 percent,  it's a contract year and he wants to be paid top dollar, so why not show everybody before signing anything.

It's the NFL.  Sometimes Egos kills players careers. Other times egos get them big bucks.

Darrelle Revis trade: Buccaneers coach Greg Schiano says 'everything is a possibility'

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the latest team rumored to be a landing spot for Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis.

And although a signing isn't imminent, Tampa Bay head coach Greg Schiano didn't necessarily dispel rumors of a possible deal.

"We’re trying to get better and anybody that can help us do that, they’re definitely on our radar," Schiano said on NFL Network this afternoon.

He added: "Everything's a possibility, but we're not allowed to talk about players under contract with other teams."

The Buccaneers, though, just signed former 49ers safety Dashon Goldson to a five-year deal and some around the league believe they won't spend any more significant cash in the secondary this year.

Revis would undoubtedly need to work out a long-term extension with Tampa Bay before a trade would go through since there is only a year remaining on his contract.
