FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Jets running back Chris Ivory (hamstring) did not play during the portion of practice open to the media on Wednesday. Ivory was riding one of the stationary bikes.

Ivory played just four snaps in Sunday's win over the Bills after his left hamstring flared up again. It's the same hamstring that sidelined him for two weeks of practice in the summer, although it's in a different location this time.

Jets head coach Rex Ryan said Monday the team would provide an update on Ivory on Wednesday, but given Ivory's history of dealing with injuries, the team is not expecting it will be a quick recovery.

Joining Ivory in the bike area was offensive lineman Oday Aboushi (knee). He dislocated his knee in practice Thursday and was inactive for Sunday's game. He has yet to play this season.

Wide receiver Clyde Gates (knee) appeared to be limited during the open portion of practice. He worked off to the side for a bit before joining the team. His lower right leg/calf was wrapped.

This was one of Idzik's poor signngs, he's drawn a blanks at R.B so far.

Meh, he was getting 5 yards a pop against a pretty good NE run defense.  Why are we done with this kid already?  I imagine he'll play a big role for this team in the 2nd half of the season when he's fully healthy.  For now, we ride the Bilal train, make use of Alex Green and wait for Goodson to come back.  No biggie.

The same reason every one was done with Hill 2 weeks ago.  Worst WR in the history of the game.

With that said I was really high on Ivory even before the Jets traded for him.  Thought he was going to have a major impact on the running game.  Sadly it doesn't look good.  He's not a rookie.  This is his history.

Not totally done with him, but it doesn't look good

We knew what we were getting with him.  High ceiling but injury prone.  Hence why we only had to give up a 4th round pick to get him.
