PatriotReign37
That's not what you said at all. You said Revis held out and Woody paid. You weren't talking about before we traded him. You didn't say we were worried he held out. You said a player not under contract to anybody was holding out. Because you're mad. That's not what you said at all. You said Revis held out and Woody paid. You weren't talking about before we traded him. You didn't say we were worried he held out. You said a player not under contract to anybody was holding out. Because you're mad. Nope In the end Revis got the money he wanted 3 years later. Holding out works.

Maybe this will help you remember? http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/jets/post/_/id/37891/revis-trade-one-year-later-winners-losers Yes, April 21 is the first anniversary of the Darrelle Revis trade, a highly controversial move in which John Idzik -- in his first significant decision as the general manager -- sent the then-injured cornerback to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers because owner Woody Johnson refused to meet the player's asking price on a new contract, $16 million per year. PatriotReign37
Oh wow you're double reply mad now! Do you see now? Revis wanted 16 million per season back in 2012 and Woody said, NO. The Revis 2015 contract is 48 million for 3 years = 16 million per season. Holding out works like a charm.

The Crusher
Yep, I'm sure he must be thrilled going from a Super Bowl winning team to a last-place 4-12 team. At least money had nothing to do with his decision. Say goodnight Gracie. "Goodnight Gracie"

Holding out works like a charm. I know you were just trolling, but this happens to be correct. Last year's superbowl ring will be enough to get Revis into Canton, but being able to get 3 free agent caliber contracts plus one hold out contract in a seven year period is astonishing. His uncle must be so proud. I think Revis should be inducted into the HOF on that feat alone.
