Key quote " The team could wind up having all three on the field every once in awhile" Once in a ****ing while. What an epic failure.

You guys we're gonna suck next year.  What is our defense-minded Head Coach gonna do with all these elite defensive linemen?  Oh noes!!!

Jets fans are terrible.

Here's the reality of the situation:

1.  Mike Tannenbaum, under the old philosophy that led the Jets to ruin, helped hand Ndamukong Suh a 6 year, $114M deal with $60M guaranteed and $25.5M in signing bonuses.  He has zero regard for anything beyond the upcoming season with every decision he ever makes.  He will help lead the Dolphins to ruin.  And they deserve it.

2.  Our new GM, under the new philosophy, showed regard ONLY for the big picture and long-term sustainability for the franchise.  He will now be paying his OWN Ndamukong Suh-caliber talent a rookie deal.*   In short, he'll be paying him peanuts compared to Suh.  Maccagnan decided it didn't matter what position he played, that he was arguably the best player in the whole draft, and that if you add elite players to your roster, the rest will figure itself out.  That's how you build a winning franchise with long-term, sustained success.

* For reference, the 6th overall pick from last year (Jake Matthews, OT, Falcons) received a fully guaranteed 4-year deal totaling $16.4M.
