kelly
Erin Henderson is drawing quite the interest on the open market. According to a source with close knowledge of the situation, two more teams have reached out to inquire about acquiring the veteran linebacker’s services. Those two teams join the ongoing discussions Henderson’s reps are having with the Jets and Oakland Raiders. The source chose to speak on condition of anonymity because he is not authorized to speak on behalf of the teams involved. Henderson, 29, has been in discussions with the Jets about a new contract dating back to the Senior Bowl, but to this point, a figure has yet to be agreed on. With the Jets tight in finances, the team hasn’t been able to offer a contract that pleases Henderson. As a result, Henderson has been hearing offers from other teams on the open market. The Raiders have been another that have been extremely interested in the versatile backer, and are appealing to Henderson. According to a source, the team is offering Henderson a starting position on the defense, and Henderson is intrigued about both playing in a 4-3 defense again, while also playing in California, the state he resides during the offseason. This past season, Henderson enjoyed quite the bounce-back year for the Jets after sitting out 2014 to get his life in order. After playing primarily special for the majority of the beginning of the season, Henderson began to get reps with the Jets starting defense. By the end of the season, Henderson was rotating in-and-out on an every-other-series basis with long-time starter Demario Davis. Henderson finished the year with 45 tackles, including a season-high 11 in the regular season finale against the Buffalo Bills. As things stand right now, the Jets have just David Harris, and Taiwan Jones, under contract entering next season. If he were to return, Henderson would take over as the every-down inside linebacker for the Jets, per a source. > http://jetswire.usatoday.com/2016/03/14/source-raiders-jets-two-other-teams-interested-in-lb-erin-henderson/

Joe Jets fan
You know, a little loyalty would be nice since we gave him his career back. If the $$ is close you would hope he would stay.

Jetdawgg
Jets will have to move on Breno, DBrick and Mo to clear the space. Look for something soon

I want Fitz, but would settle for Kap(RG# durability an issue) and I'd like Henderson back.
