Gas2No99
Jets' Mo Wilkerson calls out Giants' Justin Pugh over hats Eli Manning is sacked by Jets #96 Muhammad Wilkerson as the New York Giants host the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium. 12/6/15 East Rutherford, NJ (John Munson | NJ Advance Media for NJ.com) Is it too early for preseason drama? No. No it is not. It looks like Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor won't be the only ones exchanging blows on Aug. 26. Jets defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson has apparently put the "red dot" on Giants guard Justin Pugh a month before their annual exhibition game. Why? Because apparently Wilkerson didn't like how Pugh talked about the Jets. Here's the play-by-play: On Friday, Pugh tweeted this: "At the airport and I forgot a hat. They only have @nyjets hats. All of them untouched. Literally not one @Giants hat left...Wonder why?" So, Wilkerson responded with this: "lol bro now u got the red dot see you 8/26 a MetLife." Juicy. If there's a positive to take out such meaningless trash talk , it's that Wilkerson appears to have his bravado back. The former Pro Bowl defensive end is coming off a putrid season. In 2016, he had just 58 tackles and 4.5 sacks. Ankle and knee issues likely contributed to Wilkerson's struggles, but off the field, things weren't much better. During the Jets' miserable 5-11 campaign, Wilkerson twice called out teammates for not giving it their all, the Jets medical staff for not having a game plan for his injured ankle, and the secondary for not doing its job. Wilkerson seems to have put those struggles behind him. He looked good in the Jets organized team activities (three open to the media) and veteran minicamp. He had an impressive interception of a Josh McCown pass on June 14, and a few would-be sacks. This offseason, Wilkerson has been a bit sensitive to the overwhelming criticism aimed at the Jets. In May, he channeled his inner Joe Namath with a guarantee for the 2017 season. "The team will definitely be positive and do more things better than we did last year," he said. "I can guarantee that. We'll have more wins than we did last year. That's a fact."

To Jets, winning 'Snoopy Bowl' is peanuts The much-hyped "Snoopy Bowl" -- the annual Jets-Giants preseason game at MetLife Stadium -- has lost its luster around these parts, and Todd Bowles' Jets are having a particularly difficult time feigning interest in the topic. . . . The Jets -- a franchise that once sacrificed its starting quarterback, Mark Sanchez, in hopes of hoisting the Snoopy Bowl trophy after a meaningless preseason game -- are no longer focused on retaining bragging rights in their shared state. Instead, Bowles has his players focused on long-term gains rather than preseason-game accomplishments.
Lupz27
Gotta love this from Mo, I was one who thought last seasons performance was due to the recovery from the broken leg, and we will see the old Mo next season.

Although to be fair Rex wasn't trying to beat the Giants he was trying to make a point to John idziot
BurnleyJet
Well our "Star" Defensive End is upset about a hats joke. My answer is to Win some more f@@king games! - He wants to try paying to watch this sh@t, instead of being paid 17mill per, to not try and "dance" with Oline men for 60 mins. Got to love so called Jets fans who take every opportunity to knock their own players on any and every level. With all the reports on how he had a bad ankle and was in recovery from a broken leg, Dr. Kleckineau has determined thats all wrong, he was just another lazy millionaire.
