Robert Saleh - A Players Coach or A Pushover ?

Recommended Posts

What's going on with Robert Saleh ? The papers write that Robert Saleh is a "Players Coach" who is building a "Winning Culture" yet here is the team again off to a slow start after a 4-13 season last year. What's more the team is come off a solid thumping from the Cincinatti Bengals That game includes 2 Bonehead Un Sportsman Like Conduct penalties that kept a Cincinatti Drive alive and killed a NY Jet Drive. The offendiing Players are John Franklin Meyers and Corey Davis. Both are veterans who should know how costly such penalties are to a team. The question is is why is Robert Saleh not taking action against this type of transgression in a very public fashion ? Especially since there were two such penalties. It seems to me that since there are two talented Players sitting on the sidelines, Bryce Huff and Denzel Mims, that JFM and Davis should be deactivated for the game against Pittsburgh in a very overt message to the team that such stupidity will not be tolerated. Or is being a Players Coach to important ?

What were you expecting after the first 3 games?

2-1 or 3-0?

Seems most had the Jets at 0-3 and are complaining about 1-2

What's the difference? A pushover is a pushover regardless of semantics. I've noticed our trend of players' coaches, and a lack of sustained success. These guys are employees, and should be treated as such by their manager. They shouldn't be coddled, and they need to be told what to do regularly because despite their rhetoric otherwise many players (people in general) aren't very professional, and they merely talk the talk. They may be "grown ass men" physically and chronologically, but most will be broke a couple years out of the league which tells you all you need to know.
