PositiveJet
Interesting alternate reality scenario. I still think the season ends poorly because Saleh is the worst HC in the NFL. We’d probably know a lot more about Mike White, although it’s tough to say. Perhaps Saleh sticks with Flacco longer than expected if the team started winning games. The negative obviously is that the book is still open on Zach Wilson and he could have negatively impacted 2023. On the other Sid if White played well maybe they’d consider trading Zach as he’d have a lot more value than he does now. Also perhaps a full year on the sideline would have helped him. All in all the sad reality is that the worst thing that happened to both Zach and the Jets in 2022 was the MRI that confirmed his knee was in tact.
Augustiniak
White would have taken over for flacco, got hurt and then the season would have gone to crap. And we’d all be sitting here writing ‘wait till next year’ when wilson is healthy.

slimjasi
Joe Flacco gets benched after getting sacked a thousand times in Denver. White comes in and plays well but gets hurt in New England. Season over.

He should have taken the time out yes. But that is a harsh statement. 2

The only worse HC right now is Lovie Smith
BigRy56
We’d have a similar record to where we are right now, except everybody would be talking about how good we’re going to be once we get our uber-talented #2 pick back next year. Safe to say, we should all be very glad this is not the case - both for Zach’s health and the franchise's

The team is one win away from doubling its win totals from last year, has been in the hunt all season, and has done this all with most of a starting offensive line on injured reserve. And all that with the worst GM, HC, and OC in football. Isn't that itself a remarkable accomplishment? I remember when Jets fans were complaining about how much the team sucked when they won 3 games a year. The Jets have gotten so good that fans can now say the Jets suck at 7-8. That is a pretty big accomplishment.
Jet Blast
I see some irony between your screen name and the thread title. 1
