AL047
We have two days left until the NFL Draft and as always no one knows what GM Joe Douglas will be doing with the Jets #10 pick. We don't know if he will use that pick or trade down on Thursday's draft. We also don't know what he will be selecting in this draft if its OL, WR or TE. Those are things in many mock drafts have the Jets picking but truthfully, Douglas has never dropped any hints in any of his drafts. This is also the time when ex Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum makes predictions of what the Jets might select in the draft and always is 100% wrong. I enjoy when he puts his foot in his mouth with those horrible predictions. I am hopeful that the Jets trade down in the draft and gain a 2nd round pick in the trade. But with the 1st round pick I am hoping for either a WR or an OL (preferably a Tackle). I

Greenseed4
So for funzies, I went back and looked at Tannenbaum’s mock from last year. He got the following players in the correct slot to the right team: 1. CAR - Bryce Young 2. HOU - CJ Stroud 22. BAL - Zay Flowers 30. PHI - Nolan Smith The following players to the wrong team, correct slot: 3. ARI - Will Anderson (HOU) The right POSITION to the right team, wrong player: 4. IND - He said: Will Levis (it was: Anthony Richardson) 21. LAC - He said: Jaxon Smith-Njigba (it was: Quentin Johnston) The right player to the right team, but drafted in a different slot: 25. NYG - Jalin Hyatt (was drafted 2nd round) 24. JAX - Anton Harrison (drafted at #27) Not 100%, but not bad all things considered.

Rochester Jets
This thread made me randomly remember the Jets using a 2nd round pick on kicker, Mike Nugent. Somehow I feel like taking a kicker in the second round is not smart.
Beerfish
Yeah for sure we have no clue how things are going to go. All it will take is one big surprise pick before us to toss things into disarray. Not having a 2nd rounder really sucks this year, our plan of attack might be totally different if we had one. Day 3 of the draft should be interesting. Day one will be interesting to see what sucker teams over draft QBs.

I’m by no means an expert on the draft, but I really like the idea of trading down to at least get a second round pick. Seems like we could be in much better shape getting two solid players in the first and second round versus taking just a high end prospect in the first. Like a solid #2 WR and a strong depth OT in case an injury happens to Smith. 1
hawk
If one of the top QBs are there at 10, does JD take him? I have been hearing some good things about McCarthy, and liked the way Harbaugh praised him. There are ways to say he is the best in the draft just to say it, and then there is actually meaning it.
