There is an opportunity now for him. Go get it kid !

His production was limited big time by the coaching staff in Miami. I distinctly remember the fan base frustrations because of it. I trust this staff and hopefully he flourishes under Whitecotton

This dude is the defensive version of Becton. Super athletically gifted but he's soft as sh*t. He bought into his own hype coming out of HS as top prospect, never put in the necessary work to be great at Miami. He couldn't even bother getting in good shape for the combine. Hopefully, the coaches can light a fire under his ass

So basically he’s the Bryce huff of FSU. Good pick up. They tanked his value but using him
As a specialist instead of how he should be used.

Bryce Huff of Miami, but yes. Miami used him very wrong which is why his production was so low

Well, if not getting drafted doesn't light a fire, nothing will.

So what's this deal with this guy? Just completely lazy and doesn't want to put in the work?

Everywhere says he was ranked highly, once a potential first round pick, but just kept dropping and dropping. Tested poorly at the combine.

But say the Jets are the perfect landing spot for him.

I mean, hard to argue the Jets aren't the perfect landing spot. If nothing else this team has developed and trotted put some solid DL in recent years, he will have time to learn and we got him for free. Gotta to like the move, if he doesn't haul ass in training camp we can cut him without a second thought. If the chance to play on this DL and prove himself doesn't get the best of him I doubt anywhere else will.

Hes worth a look.  Probably wont make the team but who knows.

Wouldn't be a bad test to see if he can stay motivated on the practice squad. If so, he can be the first man in line for roster promotion if an iDL injury happens.

I would imagine going undrafted will be a pretty good motivator, but you never really know how a guy is built.  Definitely worth giving him a look though.  Uber talented DT, and we could really use another young guy to add to that room.
