Popular Post Falco21
As someone who lives in Miami and graduated from FSU, I can say we got an absolute STEAL with this kid. "Leonard Taylor III's pass rush win rate as a 3-technique was 28.6%, which is just flat out absurd. The problem is Miami only gave him 28 pass rush snaps as a 3-technique the entire year. He was a nose tackle on 127 pass rush snaps. Remember that split while doing your evals." This is the perfect guy for this staff and I think he is sneakily an amazing pickup

I distinctly remember the fan base frustrations because of it. I trust this staff and hopefully he flourishes under Whitecotton

Popular Post nycdan
One of the handful of guys I was really surprised did not get drafted. Glad we snagged him. Would love to see him follow in the footsteps of past UDFA DL we have had success with (Huff, Harrison, Devito)
JETSxWRATH™
This dude is the defensive version of Becton. Super athletically gifted but he's soft as sh*t. He bought into his own hype coming out of HS as top prospect, never put in the necessary work to be great at Miami. He couldn't even bother getting in good shape for the combine. Hopefully, the coaches can light a fire under his ass

Wit
So basically he’s the Bryce huff of FSU. Good pick up. They tanked his value but using himAs a specialist instead of how he should be used. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app

Miami used him very wrong which is why his production was so low

He's the perfect rotation type player we utilize. Tremendous upside and with good coaching, I personally believe he can be very very good in this defense

SomebodytoAnybody47
So what's this deal with this guy? Just completely lazy and doesn't want to put in the work? Everywhere says he was ranked highly, once a potential first round pick, but just kept dropping and dropping. Tested poorly at the combine. But say the Jets are the perfect landing spot for him. I mean, hard to argue the Jets aren't the perfect landing spot. If nothing else this team has developed and trotted put some solid DL in recent years, he will have time to learn and we got him for free. Gotta to like the move, if he doesn't haul ass in training camp we can cut him without a second thought. If the chance to play on this DL and prove himself doesn't get the best of him I doubt anywhere else will.

Wouldn't be a bad test to see if he can stay motivated on the practice squad. If so, he can be the first man in line for roster promotion if an iDL injury happens.
bonkertons
I would imagine going undrafted will be a pretty good motivator, but you never really know how a guy is built. Definitely worth giving him a look though. Uber talented DT, and we could really use another young guy to add to that room.
