G Wilson - Hackett you suck

Ok not exactly, but kind of…

Things have changed for GW now that Rodgers is here....he never worried about where ZW wanted him to be, or TB or MW...HE was the most important part of the QB-WR relationship.  AR knows what he wants to do, and where he wants his receivers to be...hell, most of the time he knows where he's going with the ball post-snap before the snap.  He needs GW to be where he's supposed to be to be successful.  There's a reason Lazard looks halfway decent when playing with AR...because he knows what AR wants/needs.  He understands.

I just hope GW understands what needs to be done, because if he and AR get on the same page, like AR did with Davante, it will be magic.  AR is that precise when he knows what the receiver is doing and where he is supposed to be.

This is just the WR's version of Saleh's cadence BS....you have a HOF QB that now you're questioning the things he did for the past 20+years?  From a  team that has like never had a cohesive and productive offense?  LMAO.

Super talented kid having a bad year so far, a lot of it his fault.

I disagree that it's his fault.  What do you base that upon?  Do you know that he's not working hard?  Do you know that he hasn't learned the game plan?  He's playing in the slot more than he has so far in the NFL. He said that his route tree is different.  He's having to adjust to changes Rodgers wants him to make.  IMO the fault lies at the feet of Hackett and Rodgers.  Wilson is supposedly our #1 WR.  If so, he should be playing on the outside not in the slot.  If Rodgers wants the Jets to win and be successful, he needs to get over himself, and adapt to what Wilson does well so that they can be on the same page.  Wilson will be here long after Rodgers is retired.  It's totally foolish for them to keep struggling and misusing and undermining one of their best offensive weapons, because of arrogance or unrealistic expectations.  The CS's job is to put players in the best position in which they can succeed.  They're not doing that.  It's just like the stupid personnel groupings not using Allen from the 1-yard line and in a situation late in the game in a situation where it's 3rd and 10 and the best contested catch WR one has (and one of your tallest WRs) is on the sideline and in his place is your shortest WR who is the worst at contested catches.  Hackett has no clue what he's doing or how to use players.  If he had a brain in his head, he would keep Wilson on the outside, and if he's struggling, run some of the plays he does best and use plays that scheme him open to get him in the groove.

None of that is on Wilson.

I disagree.  The kinds of things that Rodgers wants Wilson to do takes time to learn and get on the same page, time that they don't have.  Rodgers and Adams played together for how many years?  The same goes for Rodgers and Lazard.  One of the reasons that Rodgers had one of the worst years of his career in 2022, was that he wasn't on the page with his young WRs.  They were all rookies and 1st year players.  He was expecting them to do things that they couldn't possibly do in their 1st year of playing with him.  He is being unrealistic and arrogant.  This is an all in season and Rodgers may not be here next year.  They don't have years to develop the kind of relationship that Rodgers wants.  Wilson will be here long after Rodgers retires.  Rodgers is the one who needs to pull his head out of his ass and change.

I can't blame Hackett entirely.

Last season when Zack Wilson lead the nation in 3-and-outs, Hackett said most of our game plans never saw the field. You can't set defenses up to take advantage later in the game when you're constantly going 3 and out. You can't get other players involved when your starters are constantly going 3 and out.

Our last game against the Broncos, 10-9 final score, was a microcosm of last season. Defense played decent. But instead of going 3 and out due to Zack dirt-balling a short pass into the flat, we were going 3 and out due to one of our own players jumping off-sides (like 5 times in one game). Add Breece Halling gaining zero yards on like 10 carries on 1st and 2nd downs, that will do it too. 1st and goal from the 1 yard line? Breece lost yards on 1st and 2nd down.

Our team is not good enough to win no matter how bad our players play. We need 100% concentration and 100% effort from every player, every snap. If we do, we can be good, really good.

If players don't understand what their assignments are and don't execute them well, part of the blame lies on the players, but most of it lies on the CS.  It's their jobs to make sure that the players understand their assignment and execute them well consistently. It's their jobs to ensure that players don't make stupid mental mistakes and play in an undisciplined fashion.  It's the CS job to put players in a position in which they can succeed.  When the play calling is predictable, perhaps too complex, and personnel groupings make no sense, players aren't being put in a position to succeed.

I think the Jets are getting 100% concentration and 100% effort from players.  I don't see any players dogging it or quitting, so I think your comment is wrong.  IMO this is purely and simply bad coaching from an incompetent OC and a clueless HC.
