Former Bills Wide receiver Eric Moulds has been released by the Houston Texans. Moulds, an 11 year NFL veteran, was traded by the Bills to Houston after the 2005 season.

In Moulds one season in Houston he caught 57 passes for 557 yards but just one touchdown. Moulds is now free to sign with any team. The Texans say the move was made for salary cap reasons.

Houston also released Victor native Seth Payne, the defensive lineman who had been with the team since 2002

I like him. Not as a starter, but as a 3rd W/R. But he will want more money then that, and he probably still wants to start.

SO, no deal.

He is not going to want to go somewhere as a #3.

He complained in Houston about not getting the ball enough and was upset with the feed Andre Johnson at all costs strategy.

It's amazing what two good years will do for a player.

Here it is, 5+ years later, and people still think he's a good receiver. In 2002, Moulds had 10 TDs. SINCE 2002, he has 11. He also hasn't averaged 13 YPC since 2001.

Moulds is a slow, old possession receiver that hasn't been good in half a decade. Let's sign him up.
