Maxman
You scored 94%. Good job. Marques is on this team. Today's game clinched it. No way can Brad Smith throw the ball. Not even in a pinch. They will still keep 6 WRs because Wright is a beast on special teams. Schlegel should get the boot. I don't think Ventrone makes it though. Yeah, I hope Marques makes it too but something tells me that he won't. I'm guessing Schlegel makes it just because the Jets don't want to give up on a 3rd round pick just yet and with Ventrone, I don't know, I don't think we'll carry 6 Corner's so I went Ventrone. Maybe Poteat makes it over him, who knows.
Jetheelz
They will still keep 6 WRs because Wright is a beast on special teams. Do they use him exclusively on special teams or fit him into the WR sets every now and then?
StraightCash
Sounds good! I would take off Rashad Washington and add some random OL vet thats not on the team though.

I think they are going to get down to 52 and bring someone else off waivers. Maybe they will do the Lou Holtz and make cuts and put in like 7 waiver claims. Then you make more cuts. And then you cut some of the waiver pick ups when you realize why they were on waivers. The worst part for the new guys -- so little time to memorize the mandatory fight song. Ah, Lou Holtz in the pro's. Just doesn't get much better than that!
uart
Ventrone is a Mangini-type player. If Mangini can find room for him on the roster, he'll make the team. Obviously, our most pressing needs will take precedent.

Maxman
Schlegel will not make the team. Frisman Jackson may make the team. Not sure how Jackson can make it, unless they are trading JMac which would be a mistake. I will say this about this years team. There are concerns -- OLine, DLine. But they have depth. This team is strange in that there isn't a huge drop off with the backups at some positions. Now time might tell us that there was no dropoff because the starters sucked. But they are undefeated right now so I don't want to think about that!

But wouldnt it be a stunner if, now that McC renegoiated they traded him for a guard...

The fight song and Lou Holtz aside, I have a feeling that there will be guys on the team opening day that are not on there now. And I'm not talking about any Guards, which is still a possibility. Mangini has shown last year that he will pick up guys that are cut from other teams.

But so it goes. great job. i agree re Drew Coleman. I somehow think Turner (OL) will stick around and that the Jets will add several players after the cut down date at some of these positions: DE (Hamilton or Kimo), OL (Clarke and/or Jones), LB (Kassell), CB (Poteat). I will be VERY surprised if Drew Coleman is cut. He has played well this preseason. And we need more depth at CB, especially if we keep Dyson who seems to be perma injured. I would cut Kimo. And keep 2 QBs. Lots of teams do. I would keep Drew Coleman and Frisman Jackson. I agree with your PS. I am not so sure we wil be that aggressive for a guard as Bender was really strong last night and I think made the starting role.
Maxman
I think Bit will come in pretty damn close. I think he nailed it with Poteat and the 3rd TE as well. That's how I see it going down. The OL will mess it all up. Ironically that is the easiest position to pick right now, except there will probably be a waiver move\trade that throws it off. bitonti
i didn't think they had the guts to admit their mistake with Kimo, but now that they did i would say Coleman makes it as the 6th CB. Haynes is also alive but really didn't show a heck of alot in the preseason. Not sure they need 5 3-4 DE. alternatively if they decide no 3rd QB than that opens up another spot... stay tuned!
