I saw it reported that J Abe came back 10lbs heavier and the Jets were happy with it? anyone see this anywhere? just wait until he hits the labor day parties, will be pushing 15

I saw it, whats wrong with that? are you that bitter that you have to find anything to cry about? take a breath & enjoy his return, no matter what you felt about his absence, he is back & will be an impoortant part of the defense

Time will tell. If he was working out and it is by design more power to him. I would sacrfice some of his speed for a full season if that is what it takes.

If he is out of shape though we will know it real soon. Day 3, Abraham did not practice. That is what I don't want to read.

you cant say he hasn't done jack sh*t..You have no idea...The guy is playing for a contract. 10 lbs either way will mean nothing..had he been in camp that 10 lbs would have been gone...He'll probably lose 5 by 9/11...

it's unbelievable the amount of crap this guy takes...He is 10 x's better than B. Thomas...I can't wait to see him play..

Maybe because he can't stay healthy for an entire season and he's always out like a little bitch when the games count.

10x's better then BT? I don't believe so. If anything BT is 10x better then Abraham at stopping the run, the only thing Abraham has on him is he'll get double digit sacks while Thomas would probably end up with 5 or 6.

Abraham is a game changer...Thomas is NOT...enough said...Out defense will be BETTER with him playing..It drops off without him...

I agree he needs to play a full season..as does Pennington..As do all of our elite players...

Abraham is the better player and a game changer to a certain extent and their is no question the defense is better but I'd rather have BT play 16 games then Abe play 7 and then sit out with a hangnail.

Bottom line is at the end of this season, franchise him and trade him for a 1st round draft pick and sit comfortably with 2 1st round draft picks using one on a DT and the other on an OT.

If the extra 10 pounds helps him stay healthier, meaning less knicks and bruises, so be it. If it also helps him fight off linemen and play the run better, so be it. I can live with a little reduced speed.

The whole idea is that he is ready to play every week, and continues to be the game changer he should be.

Read an article people....actually get some info and then offer a response...things run like wildfire here. And you call yourselves knowledgeable....anywho, the 10 pounds gained were intentionally. He says that he usually loses weight during the season and he thinks the 10 pounds will help him withstand the rush better and make him a little more durable in a sense. He wants to try and keep the 10 pounds all season. And he has been working out. Please check for info before you start steppin in the sh*te you spew...sheesh. And if anyone watched Sportsdesk last night you will see that it was clearly muscle. Mostly in arms and chest it seemed.... #-o

10 pounds arn't gonna help him stop the run, his ability is to rush the passer, not to stop the run, he will continue to be TERRIBLE against the run which is why in obvious running situations, Thomas should be in there.
