OMG, seriously?  You're chastising him because of what he was wearing?  I guess he should just throw out all of his old t-shirts and just wear suits every day for the rest of his career.  The people on this site just come up with more bullsh*t by the hour.  It's embarrassing to read half of the sh*t that people post here lately.

Didn't even have a hoodie on. ☺

You can't have sh*t like this happen and be the franchise QB.    You would never read about this nonsense with Brees, Manning, Brady, or Rodgers.

It was the same with Sanchez and his underage snatch.   Poor decision making on and off the field.

Then its no problem for GENO, as no one in their right mind ever believed that this guy was a "franchise QB", and apparently Geno doesnt think so either.

In all fairness none of those guys would be getting harassed over headphones or cell use pre-flight due to their instantly recognized celebrity status.

You will deeply regret typing this.

Nah, there's really no sport in volleying back with this new crowd. In general, I think the abrasive, over-the-top "Ape" bit has run it's course here. Too many posters take everything at face value, and the caricature is way too sharp tongued for a football site, where it's obvious you are going to have a lot of over-sensitive types... and despite how smart football fans usually are, I guess it's not obvious enough to enough people that it's all just goofing around and not to be taken seriously at all.***

The whole persona was never meant to be more than a satire of a bully, that anyone that wanted to could figuratively punch in the mouth (flame). Some got it, others got wadded up. Either way, it's not fun for anyone anymore, so it's being retired.

They did recognize GENO, The flight attendent was quoted as saying" Dude with that QBR, you get last seat in coach and no headphones"

Ehh that's not true. Manning, when he was 20, had the incident where he pulled his pants down and shoved his ass in the face of the female trainer checking his ankle and then rehashed it in a book four years later that led to all the court proceedings.  Brady left his pregnant girlfriend for another woman when he was 30ish: nothing illegal or anything that I'd care about, but I would imagine the "squeaky" clean patriots didn't appreciate it. And for what it's worth, being in undergrad at the same time Brady was becoming a superstar, there were tons of rumors about how much of a jackass he was to younger players, training staff and women in general. Brees, Manning and Brady just have the luxury of no longer being in their 20s at the advent of smart phones, youtube and all this TMZ nonsense.  Not excusing Geno, but when you're basically followed 24 hours a day, unless you're a saint like Tebow, your name's gonna get out there somehow.

Truth. Griffey had the perfect head for it.

Even when he got fat, he was always my favorite non-yankee, the guy was impossible to not like. I know PEDs are everywhere, but if he, Mariano, Jeter or Cal ever got shown to be using, it would just destroy my baseball universe.

*I'd also put Jorge, any of the Molinas and every other catcher on the "can wear hats backwards" list. Firstly because it was functional, but mainly because they're always scary mother f*ckers with leathery hands the size of a baseball glove.

Exception to every rule.  Favre had his dick-pics moment.  I think I'd still take him as the starting QB on this team again right now.

Griff and Frank Thomas were so good it's almost hard to believe that they weren't using. The saving grace is that their careers both fell off the table, unlike all the dudes we know were using.

There were a few factors that always led me to believing he was clean: 1) boyhood naivety that refuses to admit he could ever do wrong. That applies to both Junior and Will Smith. 2.) He played on that sh*tty ass kingdome for a decade, that'll destroy anybody's body. 3) He never worked out. His teammates always professed how he was never in the gym and how he despised lifting weights. 4) Ken Griffery Jr. Baseball for N64 might be my favorite baseball game ever.

There's never going to be a positive test for any of those guys who left baseball early enough. But then again, that's the beauty of a witch hunt. You really don't need any actual evidence or even coherence to run with it. The mob is already so riled up that evidence and anti-evidence are one and the same.

If I want to stick around for the small portion of Jets conversation that I actually enjoy here, then I need to lay off with how I dump on the rest of the interminable dross. Besides, most of us know what dumb sounds like, I don't need to keep getting myself in trouble pointing it out like a jerk.

We all have our cross to bear. If not you than who will do it?

It's always been my preference to sit back and watch posters who annoy me eventually spiral out of control via their own doing. At most, give them a tiny, subtle push. Like how Lechter convinced Multiple Miggs to swallow his own tongue.

I'm sure a new champion will emerge from my shadow!!! :Banane43:  (<--- so people don't think I'm really this arrogant)

Here's one of my favorite sports stories:

Shaq, when he was in his second year with the Magic, was out at a club one night, chilling. He's got a columnist with him working on a piece about what Shaq's life is like off the court. So, Shaq decides it's time to leave, and he and the reporter jump in his giant Escalade and roll out of the parking lot. They don't get 500 feet before a cop pulls him over. The cop comes to the window and acts like a real a$$hole, saying he pulled them over because they were "swerving." The cop accuses Shaq of driving drunk, being high, etc etc. Shaq just nods, denies everything, and ultimately gets a ticket for reckless operation of a motor vehicle. When they drove off, the columnist asks Shaq what he planned to do about what was obviously police harassment. Shaq said, "I'm going to pay the ticket. Keep him (the cop) from getting his name in the paper."

That's a long way of saying that athletes are going to get their balls busted by the public and they have to know when to back away. If a stewardess tells you to do something as simple as turning your phone off for five minutes until the plane gets off the ground, you should do it, especially if you're famous.

Thanks, D.

One would have to assume that the organizations that routinely keep their nose clean, or at least portray the public image of such, have received the training you just shared.  Geno is young, I don't expect him to not tear up a hotel room or two.  But I do expect the organization he works for to instruct him on how to keep it from distracting the team. ( i.e, walking away from potentially "distracting" scenes, not driving intoxicated with firearms, NOT engaging in screaming matches anywhere there's a camera, staying fully clothed (and away from Vasoline) while in public...dick pics are cool the temptation of sending someone a sepia snap of my magnified junk is empowering...but word of my junk has yet to make headlines.

Landing on TMZ for anything other than dating a high-profile girlfriend is poppy-cock, and these stories stacking up is a reflection of mgmt.
