Gang Green Girl
There's a poll on msgnetwork.com....I find this incredibly interesting. Herm Edwards 18% Terry Bradway 24% Chad Pennington 37% None of the above 21% Chad is leading the race and....'None of the above' over Herm??? WTF!!! NIGHT STALKER
I would imagine the fans that participated in this poll feel CP is finished as a QB, never mind the fact he's supposed to be a "franchise" QB. They also figured his CAP money is preventing the Jets from going out and get that franchise type QB...I know that's how I would approach that poll. 4HCrew
I hate these kind of polls... My vote Herm first, followed by Bradway...I do not want to take the cap hit for Chad at this point just hope he restructures.
mbn007
Herm. Easy. But get back a fair compensation package. Otherwsie, he stays. The real one who needs to go is Woody. He has no clue about football, and if he gets tight with the purse-strings, our program will be set back another 5 years.

Sperm Edwards
#1 Herm Edwards - HC is the most important employee of an NFL team & he has hit his ceiling. Enough has already been said about his shortcomings & the bottom line is he doesn't want to be here anyway & the players now know it. #2 Terry Bradway - how can a guy who's close friends with Peterson be the one we've trusted to broker the best deal between us & Peterson? Overpays for expensive veterans (Martin, Chrebet, Fabini, Jones, Pennington, Ellis); didn't know enough to tender an extra $0.5M for Coles before Wash took him; traded two firsts & a fourth for a workout warrior who then commanded an 8-figure SB; hired his buddy with no experience to be HC; reaches for other 1st-day draft picks based on combine #'s (Thomas, McGraw, Hobson, Askew, Pouha); much more. When he does get lucky or hit paydirt with one of them, they're gone before re-signing (Moss, Jordan, McKenzie). If Terry's still here towards the end of Vilma's contract, don't expect him to re-sign here either. Basically he's in over his head. #3 Chad Pennington - just get him off the books for good. Due to count $12M keep or cut him, but if we keep him $9M of that is a new $3M roster bonus and $6M salary; meaning we're still on the hook cap-wise for $9M of his orig SB even after this year. #4 Curtis Martin - 33yo RB coming off knee ligament injury will be a distracting temptation no matter what he announces now as a willingness to take a back-burner role. Depending on our other additions this one could be post-June 1 for more savings this year or pre-June to get less savings this year but then he's off the books forever. All of them should be gone: - The first two cannot compete with their elite peers (even if they are better than some lousier ones) - The second two are over 30 & coming off injuries to key areas (shoulder for Penny, knee for Martin), never combined to lead us to an "elite" offense anyway, & you don't rebuild a franchise with those 2 as your big cap-eaters. faba
A lot of Jets fans are fed up with Chad not being able to stay healthy and the huge contract that he has that is suffocating our salary cap. Bottom line being a tough competitor and seemingly nice guy does not help this team win any games for Chad
Maxman
I would say Bradway should go. I am sick of seeing him get screwed over with each free agent deal. Also sick of drafting 4 safeties each season.

Gang Green Girl
Everyone is missing my point. I am surprised that Herm ranked dead last in the poll. The fans would rather have None of the Above leave over Herm. In today's poll, do you want Herm to stay the response was 50/50.

Abraham?...uh....he's our future. Ok I'll give you that about Kendall, he was playing out of position of all season. As far as Abe being our future, that's where we have a difference of opinion. I don't want him on the Jets anymore because nothing that the Jets do is ever good enough for this guy. If anyone on this board were lucky enough to have his talent and be able to play football for a living, I'm pretty sure they would be happy. Gang Green Girl
GGG, Are you sure the 4th choice wasn't "all of the above?" Yes, Tabor, I'm positive. But even it was was "all of the above", don't you think that Herm would still be first and not last?
TaborJet
Yes, Tabor, I'm positive. But even it was was "all of the above", don't you think that Herm would still be first and not last? Well, it is an MSG poll. Maybe Mr. Dolan tweaked the results. I'm sure he would like nothing more than Herm staying put, and more years of misery for Jets fans. GoJETS
1A - Terry Bradway 1B - Herm Edwards I say Bradway first because he's done nothing as a GM. Draft LaMont Jordan to sit on the bench while we have one of the RB's in the league and weaknesses at several other spots. Trade up to draft Santana Moss because "we need a return man" then let Coles go because we have Moss. Then trade Moss for Coles because Moss is too soft as a receiver always running out of bounds and I good go on and on... yeah he made some good moves Chad Morton & Pete Kendall. Oh, and we gave up more for Justin McCareins than (the Ravens) and then Eagles did for Terrell Owens - not that I wanted him on the Jets but thhere is a big difference in talent there. Too many trades where we moved up to try and get a "franchise" player when we could have used 2 pretty good players. Bottom line is Bradways has more negatives than positives and overall the team is not any better now than when Bradway and Edwards came in. Hopefully, a new GM would also dump Herm! Pennington is a big ? and I'm sure Curtis will still be a productive. I wouldn't get rid of him unless Reggie Bush was on the roster.
