Pats have more of a chance regaining their draft picks than Brady getting suspended.

The draft penalty isn't up for discussion. Except on NESN.

Again, what did they prove?

Here is the little bit of texting that happened during the exchange above with his fiance.

"They supposed to be 13 lbs."

What?  Not under 12.5 lbs?  Or right at 12.5 lbs. after you take it out of the steam room?  13.

You mean in the middle of the legal limit.   Hmmmm.

Sounds like Brady and this dude were pretty busy with their balls in the steam room. Together.

we have discussed this over and over and over and over again but he slightly deflated a football.  not a big deal, if it wasn't the pats no one would have talked about it let alone have it become the major issue it became.  in the rule book this was a $20k fine, that is less than pocket change for these guys.

Youre right.  The QBs who said it makes a huge difference, that if a QB likes the ball deflated, it helps to have it set up that way are clueless.

When they threw M Brunnell a pile of balls and correctly identified the balls under deflated to Toms requirements, he was lucky.  Brunnell is also clueless

who cares what Mark Brunell has to say?  Joe Montana said it was no big deal but we should listen to Brunell?  every QB likes the ball a little different, a slight deflation is not a big deal.  did you see him beat the best D in football in the SB w/ fully inflated balls? did you see him have another great season this year?  stop with the nonsense.

They can say it all they want but the penalties the team suffered has nothing to do with the punishment and subsequent proceedings on Brady individually and even if Brady prevails on the appeal it does not change that the district court did not overturn the finding that Brady cheated.

Great article.

Proves yet again the NFL has no concrete evidence that the Pats or Brady did anything inappropriate.

Talk about a baseless witch hunt.

"Great Article" is a subjective term but what is interesting is that the author is a Texans fan and has no dog in this fight. I think it is quite revealing at how horrible the NFL's case is and that the Patriots were overly punished. Not that it means anything but certainly does not optically seem just.

Again the author is NOT a Patriots fan hence it carries some more weight here in my opinion.

The Patriots cheat. They do it better than anyone else. Just deal with it already. All the stress of denying this stuff isn't healthy for you.

Kraft greatest move was getting Goodell the job.  Got to give him credit.  He thought of everything.

Really is man.  Even the Deflategate thing.  Reminds me of the Gambit we use when we play mafia.  Act like you suspect your team mate to sell your innocence.  That whole thing was just to put space between Goodell and Kraft and the Pats.   Kinda had to after the accusation and with all the pictures of Goodell and Kraft hugging and kissing and shit.  Damn, think it was the freaking mod forum for the sake of bacon.

You are still in denial that the Patriots cheat in as many ways as they can think of.  Occasionally get caught.  But cheat all the time.

Every championship is tainted. Everybody knows it.  Stop pretending. You root for a despicable, morally corrupt organization that is an embarrassment to professional sports everywhere.  In the long run, that is how your Patriots will be remembered by anyone who is not a blind Pats fan.  You really picked an ugly horse to back.

Basically Roger was quoted in the newspaper today (Newsday) saying that if the NFL wins this case they might not necessarily suspend Brady any games in 2016. That it's a case not vs one player but to reinforce their interpretation of league ability to suspend players via the CBA. You figure it out.

The only nonsense here is that you think whether it actually affected play significantly is relevant. You skirt the rules, you get punished. You lie and blame others for your own conduct, you are a piece of crap. End of story.

Did you just call Junc a piece of crap? Not very nice. Forget NE. Do you think NO cheated and should have punished as they were?

I think he was speaking in general and not toward me, at least that is how I interpreted it.

apologies.  The idea of people actually believing that Brady isn't a liar and a cheater pisses me off.  Biggest fraud in the NFL.

Azog was a wimpy wimp, always sent his lackeys out to do his dirty work until the end.  He also let Dwarves beat up on him on multiple occasions.

And when they get caught breaking league rules, they are disciplined, and take it. This clown lied every which way and they blamed everyone from the commissioner to the refs to the fans, basically everyone but the people actually responsible. They prove time and again they are despicable, unaccountable d-bags. This whole thing would have went away a year ago with a simple "Yeah, sorry. Poor judgment. Won't happen again".

he clearly lied and deserved a small suspension b/c of it but the whole deflategate thing in the first place was a joke.  if it was such a serious rule why only a $20k fine associated w/ it?  they can't make up rules as they go along.

Who cares with what a former QB has to say?  WTF does what Montana have to do with it?  You get to choose your QB?  So if Montana says he didn't give a damn what the balls were inflated at that means that its meaningless and we disregard a QB who said to him it was significant.  Funny thing is Tom on record stated he like his balls underinflated.

Oh wait, in your own post you say the same thing, everyone likes it different.  Some dont give a shlt.  But that means your boys situation gets downgraded to no big deal.

What the SB and defenses have to do with it is beyond stupid.  Sorry if this "nonsense" shlts on your teams QB. Sorry, the argument of how signifiant it is has nothing to do with the argument.  He cheated no matter how many times you and other pats fans try to call it nonsense, he cheated.  Made people go out of their way, put their jobs in jeopardy to cheat for him.  Even paid them to cheat for him.

But to you that spells nonsense.  He went through all this for something that was no big deal. Only a fool believes he went through this for no advantage

Their hand was forced. They approached it like any other minor violation where people usually pay the penalty. But they were greeted with a guy shouting conspiracy at a league that gave him everything he ever had. They changed their game to suit this guy's game and he's telling them they're out to get him. Coming from an organization that already has a public perception of nefarious behavior. And in an extraordinarily insulting manner to any people of even moderate intellect. A guy whose entire life is a gift acts like an incredulous ungrateful child who has made the call to put his manufactured bs public image ahead of accountability and honesty. It could have gone away and he wouldn't let it. What should they have done? Folded?

Then there is the text-conversation among McNally, Jastremski and an unidetified person:

http://deadspin.com/the-hilarious-brady-bashing-texts-sent-by-the-pats-bal-1702598756

Jastremski: Tom is acting crazy about balls.  Ready to vomit.

unidentified: He saying they are not good enough??

Jastremski: Tell later

McNally: Tom sucks... I'm going make the next ball a f*ckin balloon

Jastremski: Talked to him last night. He actually brought you up and said you must have a lot of stress trying to get them done. I told him it was.  He was right though....  I checked some of the balls this morn...  The refs f*cked us... a few of them were at almost 16.They didn't recheck them after they put air in them.

McNally: F*ck Tom.  16 is nothing.  Wait till next Sunday.

Jastremski: Can't wait to give you your needle this week :)

McNally: F*ck Tom.  Male sure the pump is attached to the needle....  f*ckin watermelons coming ... the only thing deflating Sunday is his passing rating.

Brady lied and cheated.  Some people need to have Captain Obvious convince them..

Yeah, sure, but...wheres the proof?

LOL, they could post pix of Tom taking the air out of game footballs and these assclowns would tell you he was putting air in the balls.

Can these nitwits get it into their heads....Tom was found guilty, the Pats were found guilty.  Tom was suspended for cheating.  No one ever said he was innocent and the charges should be taken away.  This is a case to decide if the league was right in suspending a cheater for 4 games.  Nothing more
