Lol. Right, you don't need other people to have a good thread about college basketball on a pro-football forum to root for a university that you are not an alum of. All you need is yourself and an internet connection. I'm a fan and alum of the program with the most championships in the 3 decades that I've been alive. When you've seen such success, you don't need to worry about feeding your own insecurity by checking ap polls every other day or worry about losses in meaningless games while working out your kinks early in the year. I'll see you when it matters in Jan/Feb/March. If UConn is standing tall at that time, great. If not, they'll still have more than double the nat'l titles of UNC in my lifetime, but you'll get to post that the program that you root for [but are not alumni of] is better this year. Either way, I think I'll be ok with MY program.

For someone who claims Peyton is not a HoF player by discounting his regular season work and pointing to his postseason numbers, you care an awful lot more about regular season wins and FF appearances, than you do about championships when it comes to the school you root for but aren't at all associated with. Hint: UConn sucks so far this year (4 whole games), but will still make the tourney and will always a threat to win it all. I'm not too worried. Enjoy counting your wins while you still can - regular season will end before you know it, and then we all know where non-alum UNC fans will be come Feb & March. Me showing up when they are 1-3 against sh*tty teams exactly qualifies as "ignoring your teams when they struggle and showing up when they win". No wonder you're not a UNC alum. Probably couldn't even make it to NCC.

nyjunc
Nice job by UConn pulling away late from Div II Chaminade. I am sure certain posters were watching. The Heels are looking good, they annihilated Okie State and face Wisconsin in the Championship of the Maui Classic tonight. It's early but this team is looking really good, last night Ok State tried to run w/ the Heels which is a mistake. Tonight I would expect Wisconsin to slow it down a bit so it's a nice challenge and hopefully they respond.

This is everything.
Jetsfan80
junc calling others bandwagoners. It's as if he completely lacks any self-awareness or something. Jetsfan80
My Seahawks are off to a decent start. 5-1 with our best win coming against East Tennessee State (who should win the SoCon this year). # 32 in the RPI and # 68 in the Ken Pomeroy ratings so far. Big game @ Clemson (whose coach, Brad Brownell, was UNCW's head coach from 2003-2006) coming up in a month, and our bid to defend the CAA crown starts immediately after the new year.
