He beat favre in OT 23-20 after D picked favre off and set him up in FG range to win game in OT.

The 37-20 game(which included a hail Mary and NYG WRs taking short passes turning them into long TDs) the D dominated aaron Rodgers.  They held Rodgers and GB O to 13 pts in competitive portion of the game, that added a garbage time TD.

He didn't deserve either SB MVP. He has been a mostly average QB the majority of his career and in recent years been a bad QB.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL.

NYG D held the greatest QB of all time and 2 great offenses to 14 & 17 pts and when scored in the 2nd game but yeah Eli was MVP.

Nick foles was a deserving MVP.  In one SB he threw 3 TDs and caught one while leading his O to 41points, in 2 SBs Eli threw a total if 3 TDs while leading his Os to a total of 36 pts.  Also, NYG D held Brady and NE to a total of 31 pts, Philly D in one game allowed 33 to brady and NE.

Eli was clearly the MVP ?

How does any of this change my comment that he has two rings because he was the winning QB on two SB winning teams.  Are you this thick and just have to argue?  It was a simple comment, not simple enough apparently.  Didn't need your circle debate or defining.  It's true and you're twisted. And who said anything about or brought up the HOF?

Thanks but go troll someone else, done

Well at least we are sure you are not the Giants GM.

The 2011 NYG defense was ranked 27th in the league and the Giants don't win either one of those Super Bowls without Manning making two insane throws. He played exceptional in both Super Bowls.  He is the reason they pulled both games out in the end.  That makes him the most valuable player of the game.  That's why he won the, very deserved, Super Bowl MVP award.  There is nothing more and nothing less to any of this, no matter how badly you want to tell the world that "SaNcHeZ wUz AcTuAlLy GuD!!!1!" with your revisionist history and ridiculous cherry picked situational "statz" with Eli Manning.  Eli, for as bad as you say he is/was, is still 1000x the QB Mark ever was, and ever will be.

As far as Foles and the Eagles go?  The games are 11 and 7 years apart, respectively.  What happened last year and the Patriots team that Philadelphia beat have absolutely zero relevance to this conversation.

I swear, you pick the absolute craziest hills to die on.

He's the only two time SB winning QB to never lead his O to at least 20 pts.  He's never won a playoff game when his D allowed more than 20.  He helped them win, he made some plays but if the D doesn't play out of their mind he wouldn't have a single SB app.

Dude give it up, SB win, and MVP’s nothing else matters.

Barry Sanders was a monster.  He played in an era where the QB didn't matter as much as now.  The Lions never won JACK SQUAT with him because they never had a QB.  ......Saquon Barkley is a fun novelty item who is fun to watch...and he won't be more than that without a QB.

I did not say it was a smart pick

I was waiting for meaningless rankings to come out.  Here's a little history lesson for you.  In the 2011 season the giants fell to 7-7 after 14 games when Eli threw 3 INTs and was outdueled by Rex Grossman(who only threw 2).  The giants lost 23-10 at home(Eli led amazing scoring drive in last minute to close it to 23-10) to the eventual 5-11 redskins.

From that point forward the giants defense DOMINATED and the Giants went on that run.

Game 15 reg season: beat us 29-14, Eli was 9-27 in that game.  w/o the 99 yd TD that was all Victor Cruz he would have thrown for about 125 yds.  Their D shut us down all day and won that game for them.

Game 16 reg season: in a win and in game in that pathetic division the Giants D dominated again holding Dallas to 14 pts but at least the O was good this night.

WC game: the D SHUT OUT Matt Ryan and the Falcons.

div rd at GB: GB was 15-1, Aaron Rodgers the league MVP.  GB averaged 35 PPG, the Giants D held GB to 13 pts when the game was still in doubt.  GB added a garbage time TD to eventually score 20.  The Giants O was really good in this game, this was the ONLY playoff game Eli led an O to more than 24 points in a playoff game.

Champ Game at SF:  Another OT game in the title game, in the 2nd half and OT combined Eli led his O to 10 total points.  The TD drive began at the SF 29 after a muffed punt.  In OT, the GW FG drive began at the SF 24 after a muffed punt.

SB vs. NE:  The D held Tom Brady and a Pats O that averaged 32 PPG to just 17 points AND they scored a safety which gave Eli a 2 point lead and the ball.

In 2 SBs the giants D held Brady and NE to 14 points and 17 points, in 2 SBs the giants O scored 17 pts and 19 pts but yes it was all Eli.

Sanchez obviously did not have the career #s of Eli(thanks to NYG management not constantly surrounding him w/ talent like Eli) but his 2 playoff runs were very similar to Eli.  the difference was NYGs D and STs came to play every game while Mark's just came to play in WC and div rds.

The facts show Eli has been a mostly mediocre QB for the majority of his career. he's a modern day Jim Plunkett but b/c people only look at meaningless compiled #s they think he is a HOFer.  The HOF is for all time greats, at no point in Eli's career was he considered among the greats of his generation but I am supposed to believe he's an all time great at his position?

he mostly had Rodney Peete, Scott Mitchell and finished w/ Charlie Batch.  Those guys were all pretty comparable to Eli.
