Maynard13
For all the success Philly has had over the last number of years, they have not won a World Series so they can go choke. On to NY. We got a split. We good.
Maynard13
Watching the post game on FOX Sports I hate Jeter, can’t stand him, but he’s saying some really smart stuff on here. Just said starting pitching going deep is really important in the playoffs. Corbin Burns welcome to NY Mets 2025. We should have a really nice starting 5 next year: Corbin Burns, Senga, Manaea, Peterson, Blackburn. That’s very good 👍
JiFtheOracle
Little taste of our medicine tonight, lots of baseball left but man, that would have been nice to go to Citi up 2-0.

Agreed. Sucks to lose. But what a game even for the casual baseball fan. That was fun even though the ending wasn’t what we wanted

Every inning his release point is different. He’s a thrower, not a pitcher. Never knows where his pitches will go… just hopes that they’re somewhere near the strike zone. Wasted opportunity tonight. Nimmo and Vientos are on fire

Ruby2
Why is Danny Young on the roster if we refuse to use him?

Ruby2
Seriously though. Diaz is too much of a head case to get a big out, sit down, and go back out there. Young for Schwarber in the 7th and Diaz gets to start the 8th fresh. Not difficult.
faba
Well take the split Diaz again fails when it is crunch time the story of Met closers over the years

Not naive enough to expect to sweep every series from here on out, but against competition like this - you have to step on their throat if you see an opening. The pen stopped attacking, lost composure and voila. 1-1.
