I'd bet their internal goal for rodgers is 30-35 attempts per game

They drafted 2 RBs and this staff likely believes they have the best rb in football in breece. The line was also rebuilt to move guys. This team is built to run and will likely be a top 5 team in rushing attempts. If Rodgers is throwing 35x a game, that will be a bad thing.

The 16th team in the league in terms of pace of play last year averaged 63 plays per game. If we're even average in pace of play, 30-35 dropbacks per game means 30 or so rushing attempts per game - a balanced offense, which is what the team appears to want. They didn't go sign Mike Williams and trade up for Corley because they're looking for a Rex era ground and pound

Eh. They tried to bring in Arthur Smith, they already have Todd Downing and Keith Carter on staff. They bring in two mauling OL from the Ravens to add to their giant Big10 center, then draft two big backs this year. Put Breece in that Derrick Henry role and you have a nice, built-in hedge against another Rodgers injury and/or fall-off. If they’re throwing the ball 35 times per game, the team is either incredibly good or incredibly bad.

Hence 30-35. To average 35 or more dropbacks per game you need a bunch of games where you throw the ball 40 times, and they don't want that. If they finish the season with him having 32 attempts per game, they probably had a fantastic year, and I'd bet the weekly goal is to have him land somewhere in that 30-35 range.

You need to recognize the low key troll jobs of @T0mShane 😅

G. Wilson was targeted 10 times a game last year. Let's assume Breece gets targeted 3 times and a TE 3 times, that leave 4 pass attempts to the rest of the receiving group 😅

You’re closer to right. Just looked it up and the good Arthur Smith/Ryan Tannehill Titans offenses threw it a little over 30 times per. Good call.

Firsker has 0 chance of making the roster outside of injuries at the tight end position.  This dude is a JAD extrodonairre.

Harvard's tight end group has produced some legitimate NFL talent over the past few years (Cameron Brate, Ben Braunecker, Kyle Juszczyk) and the coaching staff has stated that Firkser is the most gifted receiver out of all of them

San Fran was 26th in plays per game. Purdy threw the ball 26x a game. Pace of play doesn’t mean much. the niners also threw the least amount of times per game last year but were 4th in passing yards. Saying Rodgers wont throw the ball 35 times a game doesn’t mean he won’t be effective. It’s just that this offense is built to run the ball. If everything goes right, the running game should allow for Rodgers to get rid of the ball fast. Rodgers is a savy vet that should be able to take advantage of teams trying to slow the run down. That’s why Williams and Corley are here. Those guys have the potential to make teams pay in the screen game (Corley) and on go routes with 1 on 1 coverage (Williams). Rodgers isn’t going to lead a greatest show on turf type of offense. Rodgers is 40 and hasn’t thrown a 300 yard game since the middle of the 2021 season. Hes a game manager with a ton of experience. That’s what we have, that’s what this team needs.

We drafted two running backs this year….that should say something. I’ll also add in that running the ball keeps your qb from getting hit. Less hits, less chance of injury. I don’t think this staff can afford another bad Rodgers injury…
