The definition of a Patriots system player, Patten caught just 23 passes after inking a five-year, $13.5 million contract in the spring of '05. He turns 33 before the upcoming season and could be finished in the NFL. Only reason I post this is I have a gut feeling we atleast get speculation about this guy. I remember saying "Wait!" before the game so I could look at what Kerry Rhodes was rated (90). Anyway, so I look through the depth chart and who is the #3 receiver? David Patten.
