Jetman_67
Considering the fact that the Jets defense was able to shut down the offenses of several opponents while Abe was out, John Abe is a luxury not a necessity to win.

isired
oh well. i'd rather have him miss the first 4 games than the last 4 no way do i sign this guy to a huge deal. he's a great, maybe even hall-of-fame talent when he's on the field, but like parcells says, "you are what you are": 34.8 solo tackles, 9.4 assists, 8.6 sacks. Bugg
Abraham just keeps digging his hole. And what team will trade anything fo value for this parttime player, fulltime malcontent? Who is his agent-Carrottop or Bozo? Give Edwards a world of credit. He stood by this bum in 2003 when they could've torched him and his rep. He has every right to blast this disloyal POS, and instead he keeps letting Abraham hang himself with his own words and actions.

NorthCoastJetsFan
Or he's just lazy and doesn't want to do two-a-days. What's the difference? He's effectively held out the last few games of the last couple of seasons. You can't depend on the guy. We should get whatever we can for him and move on. Besides, I wanted to trade him two years ago, but no one listened to me.

stormshadow19
Yep, they sure shut down the Pats and Rams offenses in week 15 and 16 last year. Dude, you're losing it! You've stated the same thing, twice, in this very therad.

DireJet38
I don't have espn insider but the blurb under SKINNY states taht Abraham is opening the door for Law. Could be some nonseical Clayton jargon but none the less interesting. http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/features/rumors?&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fnfl%2ffeatures%2frumors

Warfish
John Abraham should have been "sign & traded" at the end of the season. This looks worse and worse, and while some can choose to be green-glasses types on this, I assure you that our pass rush is mediocre at best, at BEST, without abe or an Abe-Equivalent. Thomas is NOT Abe, and he never will be. Thomas is a decent run-stopper, and that is about it. So keep blowing your wads over "Are we Gonna get Law", for all that means, but THIS could turn out to be a killer for 2005. Mark it down now. shawn306
Someone should tell Abraham to get his injury riddled @ss into camp and be a 16 game monster instead of the usual 10 or 12. And for you TX Tell Penny to do the same.
NorthCoastJetsFan
Seconded! btw, welcome to the site NorthCoast. Where in Rochester are you? I live in Brighton now, after 16 years in Browncroft. Most of my friends think I'm nuts for being on the Jets ticket list, but they are inherently dumb Bills fans. I have broken TVs (Cleveland '86 playoff), stuck a remote control in a plaster wall (Blair Thomas fumble in Chicago) and had my neighbors ask me to tone down the cursing (fake spike game). I want to go to games with people who understand the angst involved with being a Jets fan. Jim P.
