Jetlag
Well, what are we predicting folks? I'll say 5 Innings, 5 k's, 1 ER, 67 pitches. Let's go Yankees!
haggis
If I'm reading the cbs.sportsline GameCenter right then he has 54 pitches thrown and is still in the 2nd!

Lil Bit Special
2.1 innings 12 batters faced. 62 pitches. 32 strikes. 4 BB. 3 K's ugh. not good at all. Yankees have already used 5 pitchers. What a joke. but, hey... he lasted longer than Ollie Perez did last night.
PeterNorth09
Joba will be fine as a starter. He actually pitched well in spite obviously being nervous and tight out there. That Geese guy actually impressed me and pitched well for about 3 innings. He may be the new set up man. Funny how we're all supposed to have the patience of Job when it comes to Hughes and Kennedy but if Joba needs time to develop physically and mentally into a starter oh its a disaster. I'm sure the Yankees would have won tonight if Kei Igawa had started.
JonEJet
So glad we get 2.1 innings out of Joba this week Maybe we get 2.2 innings next week Whereas he would have pitched more meaningful innings in relief This is a Hank-made Disaster in the making

Trying to do it midseason is a joke. any start less than 6 innings is a strain on the bullpen. But, hey good luck. I hope he turns into a premier starting pitcher and soon. shawn306
You have to wonder a bit if the Yanks are maybe babying his arm to much. 65 pitches ? That's it. I think the last thing we want as Yankee fans is to have Joba turn into a Mark Prior or Kerry Wodd with constant arm problems (BTW Prior done for the season again) but at some point you have to let Joba go and see what happens. faba
You leave your bullpen exposed with this so it it has a boomerang effect. This is not the way to do it in the course of a season with live games that mean something.

That was out of the 410 2/3 innings that the Yankees had played.

They're not babying him. You just can't expect him to go straight from the bullpen to pitching 100 pitches right away...
