C-Mart28
Is this guy freakin' kidding, even taking Namath out of the discussion, Elway?! You can argue him fairly easily as among the greatest QB's of all time, sure he had some early trouble in SB's but he won two was mobile and had a rocket. Aikman had a good team around him true, and while Fouts and Moon may not have ever won it all, still great QB's in their day. I agree 1 would have to be favre IMO, the way people talk about him you'd think he had won the SB every year single handidly, fact is he also made alot of dumb plays that cost his team just as much. For a guy with so many recordes he doesnt exactly have the postseason success to match (this year case in point)
bobbyjet69
obviously a very biased opinion!

Gainzo
This guy doesn't know what he's talking about, not because Namath is on the list but because Elway is on. The list is about QB's throwing the football. The truth is that Elway was downright mediocre his first 10 years in the league and it was not until 1993 – his 11th year in the NFL – that he had anything that approximated a breakout season. Elway never passed for more than 27 TD passes in his 16-year career. Think about that for a moment ... after all, according to ProFootballReference.com, quarterbacks have passed for 28 TDs or more in a season 99 times in history. Yet the name "John Elway" is nowhere among that Top 99.
DMaynard
I love these stat mongers who don't know squat about the actual game. Namath was actually quite incredible. The man came into the league damaged goods and then further knee injuries rendered him the most immobile QB to ever play. When running out of the pocket is absolutely no option, and the defense knows that, playing the position is a 100 times harder. And consider that when he threw the ball, it was all arm. Don't think that is a big deal? See how far you can throw a football. Then sit in a chair and see how far you can throw it.
Ghost
The list is about QB's throwing the football. He won the MVP award prior to his 'breakout season'.
Ghost
I still can't believe Elway is on that list.
abyzmul
Of course they have Namath as most overrated. It's a website run by Pats fans.
