MagicBizkit87
Mike Mussina To Retire By Tim Dierkes [November 19 at 4:10pm CST] According to Ken Rosenthal, Mike Mussina is retiring to spend more time with his family. He goes on out top, with a 20-win season in 2008. The Yankees were already operating under the assumption he would retire.

faba
His heart is not into going through the grind again I guess.
Bergen Jet
Hate to see him retire but love the fact that he didn't attempt to cash in on his 20 win season (even if it was for a one or two year deal). It shows where his heart really is.
NIGHT STALKER
After the year he had last year, I would have loved to have seen if he could repeat. But, this is one of the classiest moves I've seen in pro sports. How many pitchers do you know that retire after winning 20 games...plus, leave a multi million dollar contract on the table. Thanks Moose, I wish the Yanks could have won a WS title for you though.
Blackout
he had a great career can't say I'd picture him repeating that preformance this year but he would get his 12-15 wins
Bob
I expected it, but I was hoping he'd take his shot at 300.
Kidhuman
I expected it, but I was hoping he'd take his shot at 300. I felt the same, but he needed 3 more seasons for it. Good Luck Moose
Arsis
I felt the same, but he needed 3 more seasons for it. Good Luck Moose I think he could have done it in two.

DaBrick Wall
I would vote no. Close but no. Definitely not first ballot. But I think he'll get in eventually...
Arsis
Definitely not first ballot. But I think he'll get in eventually... You're probably right, for some reason I was only thinking first ballot.
Kidhuman
I think he could have done it in two. I didnt realize he had 270 wins, I thought it was 260 something, I agree with 2 now Definitely not first ballot. But I think he'll get in eventually... I agree. Considering Maddux, Glavine and Smoltz might all retire this year, they will be the ones getting in on the first ballot.

Personally I wish he had helped them win one with all that money he made.
