Mike Florio: 6 Teams that won't return to NFL playoffs in '10

No. You know what Garb, I'm not going to do that. That's the Patriots' way. Rex Ryan has made it very clear that the JETS way is to have bravado, talk big and expect greatness. And I'll follow that man anywhere.

Even if we fail this year, we'll be back to kick more ass the next year and the year after that as long as Rex and Rex disciples are around. This isn't a team that needs to win a championship and only a championship to make me proud. Its a team that will beat the ever-loving sh** out of you just because it can, and whatever the final score reads after 60 minutes is what it is. As time goes on, the titles will come.

For once, I don't have to be ashamed to be a Jets fan, and I'm going to enjoy the damn ride. Stop ordering people around, because there's nothing you can say to change the new and improved culture in these parts.

Awesome. Love the garb-age owning today.

But clearly you dont get it. There is only one way. The Patriot way. They wrote the book on how to act as an orga****ation and a fan base. They created winning. It would not exist if it werent for BB and patriots fans like Garby. You need to be thankful that she is here to show you the light. Take advantage of her wisdom.

You are not allowed to belive in the NY Jets and Rex Ryan because Garby said so. And her way is the only way.

Before Garb responds, let me answer for her:

"Why are you so obsessed with me JiF? And no, I'm not going to respond with any substance, but will instead make a high-horse, smug remark, complete with a blanket statement about all Jets fans and how you all are in for a disappointing season. Oh, and why are YOU so obsessed with me all of a sudden, Jetsfan80?"

If I could rep you again, I would.

Individual players on every team had steroid users.

Every NFL team was taping.

The team known as the Yankees were never singled out, fined and docked draft picks for cheating, so how is it the same???

Because baseball is a joke.

The Yankees were caught cheating red handed and the organization knew what was going on.

The team known as the patriots or cheaters were, you fool!

Benny! Calm down.

Why dont you have a nice popsicle.

Actually Parcells drew the blueprint. Belichick is just copying old Tuna fish.

Whats going to happen JIF if the Jets 2010 season blows up in Rexs face? Will the media and fans still buy into his BS next season?

Nothing will happen. The Jets will continue to be an organization in the NFL led by a very likable leader who is boisterous.

We were 9-7 last year and didnt win **** and everyone is buying into this season. Why would that change in 2011?

Puhleez, BB makese Parcells look like a public library full of information. There is more than one way to win in the NFL. I realize for a couple of years your method worked, but there were plenty of champions before BB and there have quite a few since. Dont know why you people think the Patriot way is the only way. Its not.

How many teams were fined and docked draft picks?

How many other team's tapes did the commissioner have destroyed?

Oh and you point out the Yankees as if the red sox were not in the same boat, typical troll behavior.

Douche bag!

I'm just playing your game, 80. It's fun. You serve, I volley, blah, blah, blah. These posts are supposed to have actual substance? Haven't seen a whole lot of that from anyone, actually.

But, as stated before, your strategy is is good, 80. 'gotta respect the effort.

btw, just to clarify. Spicoli once accused me of being "obsessed" - so the comment I made yesterday was for him. Just seemed like the perfect opportunity to use it against him. You know, what comes around, goes around.

LOL!

Here's some substance for you: You're showing fear, 80 has your number, and you are getting run ragged in this thread.

Kind of reminds me of the patsy's last playoff game.

What does this have to do with the saying "what goes around. comes around?"

The Pats got spanked. I have never denied that. I think your team will not be as formidable as you all think. Why? 1) I think LT sux. 2) Cromartie is over-rated and 3) I don't think Sanchez is all that. 4) History of hysteria.

1) So our # 2 running back sucks. We're doomed. It's a real shame we don't have Fred Taylor and Sammy Morris to shore up our running game.

2) Cromartie is actually underrated because of his lack of production the last 2 seasons. Stick him in a good system and perhaps he's more like 2007 Cromartie than 2008 & 2009 Cromartie. Of course, his inability to tackle effectively will never change, but that doesn't seem to be a priority out of corners in the Jets' system.

3) Sanchez has the physical tools and work ethic to be a good QB. He may never be great, his size may prevent that from happening. But throwing 3 TD's and 1 INT in the postseason and the addition of some weapons in the offseason mean he's poised for a much better regular season than last year. There's something to be said about setting up a young QB for success.

4) And this matters how? The "hysteria" you speak of used to originate from Jets fans. Now it emanates from the team. Never before has an entire roster of Jets players been so brash and also had the talent needed to back up the talk. If that's "hysteria" than so be it. Patriots suck.

1) I never said the Pats had a good running game. As a matter of fact, I find it anemic as hell. They haven't had a run game, so to speak, since Corey Dillon. What I am saying is that LT sux and many of you are expecting him to take some of the load off of Green. Good luck with that. He also has a history of pouting like a little b*tch when things don't go his way.

2) call me nuts, but if a DB's production has dropped off the last two seasons, I don't expect it to miraculously come around again and become the lockdown guy you all proclaim him to be.

3) Sanchez still has a few kinks in his technique to work out. He may be great someday. He may be good enough this year. I just don't think he's the second coming of Tom Brady, you know?

4) Yes, the hysteria is from the fans...I remember when Favre was supposed to bring you a championship....Herm Edwards.....Mangini....

And speaking of ****y, brash, confidence, etc being displayed from the team....I think some of you are pretty hypocritical. Any other team does that, they are @ssholes. Your team does it, it's refreshing bravado. uh...okay.

Your team does it, it's refreshing bravado. uh...okay.

1) Yes, we're expecting him to take some of the load off of Greene. What's wrong with that? Unlike Thomas Jones, he can catch a pass and break a tackle on occasion. I'll take it.

2) Remember, this is the Chargers we're talking about. The zone coverage-happy, Norv Turner-coached Chargers. Put Cromartie in man coverage where he belongs and you'll see a substantial difference in his play.

3) You're right Garb, no one can be Tom f***ing Brady. Thank God he cured that cancer thing that was such a problem.

4) Right again, Garb, I'll stop believing the Jets can win a title. Thanks for helping me see the light.

And yes, bravado is refreshing for this team. When we've dealt with personalities like Herm and Mangini, Rex has been a breath of fresh air.

This season should be a fun one.

Being honest here - and I do usually just bust chops for effect - it's in my contract, just ask Max ;) - I, personally, don't like the great expectations thing. It seems like your setting yourself up for a big fall. Now, of course, you could win the whole enchilada and this "temper the enthusiasm" is all for nothing....I guess it just isn't my style. For example, I am expecting my team to put in a good effort, but to miss the playoffs. Welker will be missed - a lot. And, if and when he comes back, he won't be the Wes I know and love. Too many questions at lb and db. Still have no pass rush. The run game is of no concern, however. I'm so used to not having one. LOL!

I think your team will not be as formidable as you all think. Why? 1) I think LT sux. 2) Cromartie is over-rated and 3) I don't think Sanchez is all that. 4) History of hysteria.

The LT stuff is retarded, but #4 is the reason you're getting hammered. Florio gets away with it because meaningless buzzwords like "expectations" are the only way to make his projections decipherable to people with triple-digit IQs, but a Patriots fan of all people should know better than to think expectations have any discernible effect on a football team's actual performance.

I don't. But I do think it has an effect on the fanbase.

You are right about one thing Garb, if Sanchez becomes great, he will be no Tom Brady.

He actually got drafted while the cameras were still rolling. (at the draft not in the spy fields) :P

"Great Expectations" KISS DESTROYER!:headbang:

How many teams were fined and docked draft picks?

How many other team's tapes did the commissioner have destroyed?

Oh and you point out the Yankees as if the red sox were not in the same boat, typical troll behavior.

20 Yankees were named in the Roid report,. The most in MLB.

Clemens, Petite and a NYY trainer just had to testify before Congress. No big deal really

Douche bag!

A douche cries about the Patriots cheating while wearing his Yankees cap.

You going to the next Yankee home game Benny?

You mean the steroid report that was put together by a former part owner of the Red Sox? Yeah that had a lot of credibility.

When it comes to steroids in baseball, the only person with any credibility ironically is Jose Canseco and Canseco says Clemens never touched PEDs.

Former Red Sox part owner and current Red Sox season ticket holder George Mitchell has no credibility whatsoever.

 Who's crying?

Your 3 and 4 hitters were both juicing.

Clemens and Petite pitched once every 4-5 games, Manny and Sloppy played everyday, dooshie!

The sox had a doctor on staff, his main job was to show the players how to properly use steroids, and the security staff was arrested for dealing them.

Face it, not only are you an idiot, but you have cheating ball sweat on your breath.

Wow. I have seen Yankee homerism before, but this takes the cake.

So Clemens and Pettite didn't need the PEDs for 4 out of 5 days, it's somehow better?

Bring steroids back to Baseball!!!! Best thing to ever happen to the sport.

And I do love how Pats fans use this against Yankee fans often when called out for being the cheating organization they are....it means they recognize that they are cheaters and their championships are forever tainted or else they wouldnt pull that "but so are you" card.

Never said that, what I said was all teams had players that used steroids, look down and read it.

Individual players on every team had steroid users.

Your troll friend acts like it was just the Yankees, and like the sox were exempt.

Yet you site me for homerism, funny!
